I have a feeling this question was an error. Sabes pitched in 2001. Nobody else from the '85 Royals woudl have been active at that point. The only trades of Saberhagen were to the Mets and to the Rockies. He signed with Boston as a free agent.

I worded the question wrong, I am sorry for the confusion. It should have stated it was the last player from the 85 Royals who was still with the team, not last one in the majors. Again, sorry for confused wording!

It was indeed Gubicza who the Royals traded to acquire Chili Davis from the Angels. Gubicza was with the Royals as late as 1997, no other 85 Royal was even close. Brett was probably next (1993).

Chili, Stew, and Soup...I warned you it was a bad one!

I'm sure it's Chili Davis, I just don't know for sure Gubicza is who was traded for him (of course, that wasn't the question). A lot of the 1985 Royals were older, except the pitching staff. It had to be Gubicza or Danny Jackson.

c) I'm guessing 1992 Tom Glavine and a pitcher in the AL who I had to look up so I won't say. Wasn't Dave Stewart, was who an Athletic and my guess.

1. I had two names that I knew hit homers in that game but I wasn't sure who hit the last one so I looked it up, of course the one of the two that I was leaning toward was not the right one but since I looked it up I will not say who it is.
