This sounds awesome, thanks for your help.

A couple of questions, when you post them, is there any way to make sure its compatible with the most current version, maybe there's something wrong on my end, did anyone get a corrupt database message?

So does this take over for Erich's project now, is that one shelved for good now?

Thanks again, your sets are always awesome.

So wait, is this your own set, or are you helping Erich too?

Ratings are going to be based of PECOTA projections loosely. I've used these in the past and I like them a lot, they get a few players off that put up just one good season and don't project well (which we'll edit to be more like real life) but for major leaguers and AAA players, they seem to be fairly accurate, and much more accurate than me simply "guessing" what a guy will do this year. We're also editing the Top 30 players in the organization rating wise.

HOWEVER, this leaves the other guys (who ARE in there, but are not rated very properly) in the lower minors, since I honestly don't know what a 24 year old scrub in AA has a strengths and weaknesses since I don't know everything there is to know about these organizations -- other than what I can see on stats.

So I'm going to try and upload each team when I get done including the minors, and any fans/knowledgeable people can stop through and give insights into these players. I think this would be the best way to do it and to get everyone involved.

I'm definitely fine with this... While Cubby has been doing ratings I have been finishing up all the coaches.. I am going alphabetically and I am up to the Yankees, so I figure with Wednesday being my next off day I can have that finished up and sent off to Cubby... I think you guys are really gonna like what we've got here

This is myself and hb's own set, independent of Erich. I know he's been having some problems with having time to get it out (although I'm sure he will eventually) so I thought it'd be nice to have a set to tide us over until he releases his.

Also I know that there's a way to import minor league stats (I assume in database form). For those of you who offered some spare time, perhaps if we can figure out the way to import these stats some of you could work on that? It would probably be pretty mind numbing, but there might be easy ways to do it where we could all shoulder the load and get them all in.

Just to let you know when my file comes out it will have all the minor league stats. We have already collected all the stats for everyone out there to be used in the game.

Is the start point going to be the beginning of this year so the stats would be accurate up to the end of last season?

Have you already compiled the minor league stats? I think we'll go ahead and do that as well, but if you have the data files we could use I suppose it would save some grunt work here and there. No biggy if you don't have them put together yet though, I'm sure we can knock it out with all the people available to work on it in a good period of time.

I don't know much about database...but if you would like someone to give you ratings for the Braves organization (at least from A-to-Atlanta, I can do that. I keep track of the Braves minors for the website I help so I keep track of them every day. I'm sure the PECOTA ratings would take up many of the prospects that you wouldn't need help with, but the scrubs and sleepers are a department I could help with.

I wrote a program to generate csv files with all the minor league stats for all the players. I did this for Erich for his roster and I think it did a pretty good job. I still have all the csv files with all the stats if you want them to import into your roster.

I'm hoping we can post up a "first look" for you guys tomorrow or Thursday, especially if I can figure out how to use neo's CSV files to import minor league stats.

We're also looking for someone to work on stadiums if anyone is interested in helping. I have a list of park factors for the minor league parks, so it would entail renaming the parks, changing park factors to fit, and then changing stadium capacities.

Icy, I almost forgot about ya. I'll try to send you an IM tomorrow about the jersey/cap pack to put into use.

Things are coming together well guys! Also, one thing I noticed was that now we have the ability to edit what the player popularities are. I imagine this could be a pretty big deal financially, so I'd like to get them right. So when we "complete" a team, feel free to chip in about these as well as anything else. This is as much your guys set as it is ours, so I'd like to have as MUCH input as possible, since we're all experts at our own teams. :P

Another thing I wanted to check with you guys on is the strategy preferences for managers of the teams you all follow. I have a pretty good idea of what all the managers preferences are but more input would help.

Icy, I only use my NIBA handle for OOTP/online leagues so I block everyone else who isn't on my buddy list. Added you so you should be able to see me online now (if anyone else needs to talk to me, PM me your IM name and I'll do the same for ya!)

Neo -- sorry about missing your IM, I should be around for the rest of the night if you're online. I just realized I closed your IM box and lost your IM handle already.

Alright guys, thanks to neo's help we should now have full minor league stats as well as a pretty extensive jersey/logo/cap collection courtesy of Icy.
