And as far as one owner owning more than one team, two things, jackflash hasn't even said if he would allow that or not, and if he did allow it, as long as trading between the two teams would be prohibited, I don't see how there would be a conflict at all, but if it made people nervous for whatever reason, no big deal. I just asked about it because it may be a good thing to get the league started if 30 owners couldn't be found the first year or two. A active league is better than a league waiting to find owners. (After a certain amount of time.) Like I said, as long as trading between the teams is prohibited, I wouldn't see a problem. And if a new owner is looking to buy into the league, the owner with more than one team would have to give one of them up to the new guy. |

I think that what could be added to the rules is about moving team locations - perhaps a financial penalty (within the game) if you choose to relocate, say, 30 million or so?
Also, are the location set out for the owners before they start, or can the new teams choose where they want the host city to be? Finally, it's extra important for you to specify which currency we'll be dealing in. It's a 99% likelihood that it'll be USD, but that's not going to be the only players you have in the league. For example, I'm Canadian, someone recently said they were from the Philippines, so clarity and tightening up any possible arguments (such as "well it said 6 dollars, so I paid 6 in my currency - it's not my fault you didn't specify what currency") would be the wisest route. Remember, no detail is too small. Those are my suggestions - and as you can tell, I'd be interested in owning a team. I should probably get reacquainted with OOTP 07 first.

Ok, I've been monitoring this pay league conversation long enough...is there a plan in the works to get this league off the ground? I love sports sims, I love gambling...I'm ready!

I don't really think this is a form of gambling at all, but yes, I believe there is work being done to try and get this started.

Hello again all, I was out of town for the weekend. I plan on officially getting this thing off the ground this week. I have no plans on letting teams own more than 1 team, just for obvious reasons. I have been getting caught up with emails and such so if you have sent me an email, I will get back to you.
Michael and I look forward to working with each and everyone of you guys. |
