Pre-order reward!
Just a thought.
Next year SI should implement a revised pre-order policy for OOTP 2007. Depending when pre-order has been completed, everyone would be entiitled to a specific time slot for early download of game. Since there are eight weeks of pre-order time (Feb.1,2007 - March 23,2007), the pre-orders for the game could be as follows: Feb.1-3 = 1:00 a.m. - 4:00 a.m. Feb.4-10 = 4:01 a.m. - 7:00 a.m. Feb.11-17 = 7:01 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. Feb.18-24 = 10:01 a.m. - 1.00 p.m. Feb.25-Mar.3 = 1:01 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. Mar.4-10 = 4:01 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Mar.11-17 = 7:01 p.m. - 10:00 p.m. Mar.18-23 = 10:01 p.m. - 12:00 a.m. This might eliminate the download crunch and reward the people who pre-ordered early. Looking forward to OOTP 2007.

We had a couple of inches overnight - makes 4 year old daughters go delirious when they see it...
Now, where's my game??? Wonder how many of the statesiders are still up at this moment in time (somewhere between 1 and 4 in the morning) I just had a quick look in the 'it's March 23rd' thread and I predicted on the morning of release that it would snow here, and because the release date is one day earlier for us pre-orderers, my prediction came true... That's up there with my prediction I made at school in 1986 that the USSR would cease to exist on December 31st 1991 (only out by 6 days) Last edited by Tony M; 03-22-2007 at 05:16 AM. Oh, have you moved to Daylight Saving already? We go this weekend
That would probably explain why at 1830GMT when I went to see how the first inning in the Sox v Pirates had gone they were several innings in. 105ET is now 1705GMT not 1805... Still, back to normal on Saturday when we go forward. |

At work also...
Not sure which is worse... Not having the game posted yet, or knowing that if it is released in the next 3 hrs I'll try to download it over dialup while everyone else is playing. |
