Supposedly, high fly ball rates correlate to higher homer rates in the live ball era. High line drive rates correspond to higher rates of doubles and triples.

I also don't know if statistics bear this out, but it is 'common baseball wisdom'. It's cetainly true as pitchers move up the minor league chain, but whether it continues into the majors…
