What are the chances of a "World Amateur Draft" function finding it's way into the game (i.e., all players visible to all GMs)?

What Dougaiton wrote is just one example. There are so many little details around modeling high school or college baseball that it just wasn't practical. For example: different levels of college play, eligiblity rules, red shirts, having high school players all generated in very specific geographic areas, different usage of certain roles, more frequent changing of positions, different roster rules, transfers, and so on.

I just didn't want people to get the impression that this was Markus's attempt to accurately model that.

Very good point, something that needs to be considered before just sending them to play in college.

That all makes sense and seems like if something like that was going to be done it would pretty much be another game. Thats an idea by itself that could be imported to OOTP.

Edit - side note - only took me almost 5 years to get up to 500 post. Yaa me.

Something I did not see on the list was the ability to create leagues with teams from different nations.

Yes, unfortunately, this is still not a feature.

(I hate saying that, but I imagine I'll be forced to again on numerous occasions.)

It's not a huge deal for me, the league I would use it in is pretty small and I could just edit all the names/birthplace/etc manually. Just would have made it a bit quicker.

I disagree. It seems like it would work just the way it works in real life. The best high school players enter the major league draft and the rest go to college. I'm assuming the high school players that go to college will have 4 years to develop into major league prospects and not all the good high school players will be drafted allowing them to stock the college league for future drafts. Obviously only Markus can answer for sure, but it seems logical that all the good high school prospects will not be drafted and have time to develop into better players at the college level.

Guys, I cannot stress this enough: The game does NOT try to model HS or college leagues. The names for the feeder leagues are more cosmetic, as apart from the age min & max, there are no additional rules that make then resemble real life college or HS leagues.

I kind of got contradicting answers.

Can I have League A feed League B then have League B feed League C?

No. Right now, it's A and B feed C, though Markus has just said (for the first time to my knowledge) that he's looking into A and B feed C with leftover As feeding B.

I am guessing that Winter Leagues will work the way they are designed to do?

Also, unique team abbreviations (or simply including city + team name in the same cell) would simplify data-sorting.
