Hehe...I also don't think a 1B can bring a ton to the table defensively, at least not compared to any other positions. However, a bad one (which Howard is) can certainly take quite a bit off of the table.

If Ryan Howard wins the MVP award I think it shows that people still don't know how to adjust for a.) park factors and b.) defense

I really don't have a hard time believing WARP3's evaluation of Howard and Rollins being almost equal in value this year.

THT's flavor of WinShares has them at 31-26. While the gap is a wee bit larger in Howards favor, it still shows they were quite comparable in value.
