Small feature suggestion....bring back "Quit Game" as an in-game feature. Best of luck with 2007. This aging business is driving me crazy. Hope that gets fixed. Cheers!

I know this a long-shot: a retired.dat file. I assume the reason retired players are now stored in players.dat is for history purposes, but man, that would be a great, great change given how many players are in leagues in this version. (And I don't want non-MLB players deleted, I know there's an option for that now.)

Something that may actually fit the definition a small addition: Demotions to Reserve Rosters listed on transaction screens.

Any chance you could fix or tell us how to make our logos fit inside the areas on the game screen. It seems odd that they are cut off.

Split-season playoffs are still not working correctly, so hopefully that'd be a simple thing to get fixed up.

Something I was thinking would be cool would be for each team in a league to be able to designate an "arch-rival" team. This sets up the kind of series when the Yankees play the Red Sox, Cardinals-Cubs, Dodgers-Giants, and so on. The practical effect for each team might be that when you have a home game versus your arch-rival, attendance would increase, say twenty percent, over what it might be for a home game against any other team you could be playing that day. Of course in Commissioner mode, the Commish could designate which teams are rivals with which. Just adding more spice to an already great game...

As I said, the difficult part would be in "flagging players as fictional" if that wasn't already being done, not in writing the roster logic. I also pointed out that players are already flagged as historical which has effectively the same result, so you're lucky in that the difficult part may already have been achieved. So I'm not quite sure what you were replying to me for, since everything you said was already adressed in my previous post...

Hi Markus,
Glad you were able to get a vacation, I'm sure getting away from the office and decompressing for a bit is good, Hope you got to blow the froth off a few !! I was very lost in OOTP2006 at the beginning, but I am now very comfortable with it now. I can see by all the posts your gonna have fun making a new patch for this game. The only thing I would like to see changed is a graphic one. Let me explain... When you set up the playing field in edit park, sometimes the out fielders end up in the banner at the top, can this be changed ? maybe make that banner at the top a little thinner. Thats all I can say, Great game old chap!! Keep up the good work, and have fun!! Bob |

AI Trading Evaluation - Seems like the AI doesn't accept prospects/vets for much especially when that team your trading w/ is 10 games out/up at the trade deadline. AI changing SP's to MR's later on - The AI seems to send their starters to the pen later on in their careers due to sudden decline. Also, seems like every franchise in my league is increasing market size too quickly and nobody is decreasing as quickly. Add an "untouchable player" feature so the AI won't harrass you for the same players you won't trade them over and over again. Add news reports for Division/Playoff series/World series winners. |
