Yup, can't argue with the draw. I don't want to see it again though.

exactly the right call. This fight was a draw all the way. I want to see another time around between these two.

Definitely a fair decision. Would like to see them fight again because it was so entertaining.

This was a good fight. Taylor was in great shape and Winky stood still more than usual. I also scored it a draw. I'm sure we'll see a rematch.

Good fight and I am okay with the draw

I had Taylor winning 116-113 ... gave Taylor rounds 1,3,4,6,9,10,12 ... Wright 2,5,8,11 with round 7 even.

I saw in terms of TBCB2, half of Taylor's punches were 3pt punches, virtually none of Wright's were. I think if the head butt hadn't swollen up Taylor's eye, he might have won going away.

Very good and entertaining fight. Rematch will probabley be PPV

Winky left the ring angry. Merchant had to go to the dressing room for interview. Winky basically said he didn't want a rematch because why do I want come here again and have this happen again?

Punches landed: Winky 226, JT 163.
Edit: JT's two did all the damage Winky's three did, so again, pretty reasonable call

For those of you who saw it, Lamps got it right the first time, if the judge who gave Winky the 12th had given it to JT, then it still would have been a draw; just a majority draw, not split.

Wright seems to be a good guy, but his I've been screwed over in every fight I didn't win act is getting a little old. He danced away the last two rounds (although I gave him the 11th). He didn't finish a one-eyed boxer, he has no one to blame for that but himself.

Winky did land more punches but Jermain landed the harder, more effective punches. Despite what he said, I think there will be a rematch, probably in Vegas or some other neutral venue not in the vicinity of Arkansas. And like Mh said, Winky's "everyone is out to screw me" attitude is getting a little played out. Next time he should fight all twelve rounds instead of dancing around at the end.

Agreed. A draw is a good decision. I think after Winky calms down after a few days, he'll think about it more clearly and take a rematch.

I don't really agree with the notion that he "danced away" the last round though. I mean, he went to boxing and moving in and out fast. He was trying to catch Taylor off guard by showing him something different. Instead of trying to KO him in the last round, he tried to confuse his opponenet and win it on points. The problem was Taylor didn't get confused and didn't give Wright any openings to exploit.

In reponse to Merchant's assertion that Winky didn't do much near the end, Winky said . . (paraphrase) If I didn't do anything, then neither did he . . pretty well accurate, just an odd ending.

This was fun guys. If my computer and TV weren't separated by a flight of stairs, I'd do it more often. Be well.

I don't think Wright or Taylor did much punching in the last round. Except of the last minute of the round when Jermain had a small flurry, both guys were looking for an opening and waiting each other out. Also, when Taylor seemed to have chances to punch, Winky would dance away but produce no punch output. To keep it short the 12th round was dull.

Yeah, I think that's an accurate description of the 12th. Wright didn't do anything punch-wise, and neither did Taylor. I think it was much more of a toss-up round than the HBO boys seem to think.

Not a bad fight - I'm in agreement with most in that a draw seems fair -

Winky landed more pit-pat punches....Taylor landed the bigger shots...and Winky was much to laid back in the final 3 rounds (IMO).

In the sense that he didn't seem like he was willing to try and win. To take a risk to assure victory.

Good fight......fair decision.......I think both guys are slightly over-hyped.

This was a very entertaining fight and the draw seems accurate.

I’m starting to wonder if all of Taylor’s flaws (carrying his hands low, backing straight up, bad footwork, endurance) will always be there and that’s just him.

With his size and athletic talent seems to me he has not reached his peak yet. But he may never reach it.

I like Taylor, but he’s not a thinking fighter. He doesn’t seem to be able to adjust to what’s going on in the ring. When Wright pressured him in the corners he was lost. He couldn’t time Wright or effectively place shots then get the hell off the ropes. Eating that jab all fight long sure as hell didn’t help.

Wright crying about the decision was laughable. If he wanted to win he should have fought the last round. Your just setting yourself up for rsnow job when you get on your bike like he did.

Just my observations, tip of the cap to both fighters it was entertaining.

Looks like everyone who was supposed to win did on the undercard.
