Hey guys!
Sorry I've been away, very limited computer access at school, I'll be home this Friday and updating the set for those still using it before OOTP2006 hits shelves. I will take a look at the duplicate guys, I'm assuming it has something to do with re-creating retired players from 2006 when I was messing with the file. Will also re-upload it hopefully somewhere more stable.

A few things I've included on this version in addition to the trades, FA signings, missed players, dup players (couldn't figure out how to fix the few old guys showing up twice though!), is:
- Full career leaderboard (with guys like Ruth, etc. so that the duplicate old guys isn't really a problem outside of John Franco appearing on it twice) - Stadium setup correctly (I'll upload a stadium pack I've used so that all you have to do is unzip the stadium photos to your OOTP directory) - Correct minor league managers (finally) Update will be up tonight.

I've decided to expand this release a bit, and although it is going to push release back, I think it should make it more enjoyable. I'm starting easy with AAA, but the plan is to develop a set with complete minor leagues (or as much as I can, with full AAA, and as much of AA and A as possible).
There will be a release with the full AAA first, and then I'll get to undertaking AA and A/Rookie Ball. |

Already done through Boston. I'm glad I decided to do this as I've found a LOT of loose players that I had to clean up (guys who are no longer with the organization). In addition, it'll include all players in AAA or MLB right now plus the guys who were previously in the set (in AA and A).

Plodding through AAA's right now, I've reached the New York's (alphabetically) ... will still be planning a release for you loyal v6'ers out there, but only with AAA rosters, plan on that one early next week (Monday or Tuesday).
As of early next week, development of rosters for 2006 should be underway so you guys can have your fix the minute it launches on the 31st. While the first release will most not likely be much more than what is being released for v6 right now, plus upgrades to 2006, future versions this summer will include full Japanese as well as Mexican leagues (if I can find the information) as well as Independents.

Cubbyfan, when I got to the June 1 amateur draft, there were no players in the database to import so there was no draft. How do I correct the settings to allow for the draft?
Also, do I have to point to a database when I continue into the future or will OOTP automatically generate fictional players and a fictional future draft? |

rasnell i THINK if you go into the settings and change the amateur draft to preseason and then back to june it will generate some rookies. On a side note though i didn't have that problem so I'm not 100% sure

So will the version that you are working on now, with everything included, work with 6.5a or the upcoming release?
Thanks in advance.

AAA players are taking longer than I thought -- that said, the minute I switch to 2006 to get ready for that release, I'll release the current file I have for 6.5 for you guys.

I should be putting up team reports sometime tonight for the AAA teams (or tomorrow night), and I could use any help you guys have checking out ratings for the AAA players (and making sure I haven't missed anyone). They should be all accurate as of today, as of who is playing there, birthdates, player numbers, etc. etc. up to around Oakland. I want to make sure I get these all done and correct before I convert the file over to OOTP2006 so I don't have to do any extra legwork.
Sorry for the long delay, but I'm really excited about how much this expands things. I always hate when a trade happens IRL and I can't find a guy that is a minors guy to make the trade with. Hopefully when this is all said and done, you'll have everyone possible. Keep in mind, there is going to be a lot of really bad players in AAA, since half of these guys are minor league journeymen who won't ever really have a shot of seeing The Show. In addition to that, the 2006 rosters will eventually feature every player in AAA, AA, A, Rookie, etc. at all levels, including Mexican and Japanese leagues for OOTP 2006, although you guys will get an abbreviated release for OOTP 6.5 and 6.0 still.

Just to give you an idea, here's the players that have been just created up until Oakland (not even moved, all players are on their correct teams from the majors through AAA now ... however I forgot to write some down though if they are missing and in AAA, so don't fret)... All of these guys include pretty accurate ratings depending on their minor league careers to date, accurate numbers, and hometowns (as well as the obvious other things).
