I think Marquette will win, but if 'Bama does I won't be surprised. I just think a 23-point win for the Crimson Tide is the biggest shocker. Even bigger than UCLA losing and I have them in the Elite 8.

I'd like to change my earlier statement about this being done by the time the Championship rolls around. This is looking more like an undercard entertainment for the Presidential Election in 2008.

First Belmont, then Air Force? Where did you say you got this roster file from? If either of those two results occurred in real life, I'd put them up among the ten biggest upsets in tournament history.

The rosters are the same as the rosters that came with the game, just with the real names edited in. So, the teams ratings are based on educated guesses at the beginning of the season. Obviously, some teams turned out better/worse than expected so you have to think about that when looking at this.

This roster file, I believe is just the names. The actual ratings and such were made before the season began. So surprise teams like UCLA and Ohio State aren't going to fare very well.

Or what Andymac said a minute before me.

All Air Force (or any team) has to do is shut down Dee Brown and Illinois is very beatable. Since Augustine led the team with 18 that game, it seems fairly realistic.

Yeah, Brown & McBride were in lots of foul trouble. McBride especially (only played 17 minutes) and the game isn't smart enough to move Dee off the point once in a while to get him his shots either. Brown ended up with 8 (3-11fg)

Are there any roster sets on OS that have adjusted the team ratings or anything of the like? Or are they all just names editted? It would be interesting to see how some of the different roster sets would compare if the teams were editted based upon how well they've done this season in real life.

I'm not sure...I havn't looked in a while. I know there was a thread talking about players that needed to be adjusted a while back.

I think one of the problems is that there is a bit of a bug when it comes to edited rosters. If any of the ratings are touched, the players' potential automatically re-sets to 'A'. That may have deterred an adjusted roster set from happening, I'm not sure.

Makes sense then, though that sucks.

Jeremy, you might want to check this thread out. It looks like someone is doing some updating. These are for PS2, though, so I can't check them out.

Thanks G. I'll have to keep an eye on those and try them out once I can find a MaxDrive.
