And the refs blow another call. This is ridiculous.

Rolling over isn't a "football move", though...I think they made the right call.

Pardon? Then why do wide recievers get credit for a catch when they dive and roll over?

Yeah, but just making a call because you have to make a call without any idea of what the correct call is is even worse. I'd rather a ref just say, "We didn't see who moved first, so we're going to replay the down" than say, "We didn't see who moved first, so we're going to guess."

Looked to me like he had possession, rolled over, and then was halfway up with possession when his knee hit the ball out. I thought that was clearly an INT. IMO.

When does this happen? It isn't a catch until he comes to a rest or makes a football move. He lost it before doing either.

It seems like something that might be the right call under the rules, but when watching seems lame (like the tuck rule).

On another note, I just woke up to see 21-10 and was completely shocked... wow.

It looks like possession, but it wasn't by rule. When you don't make the catch "on foot", then you have to maintain possession through the entire action. He lost it before stopping or making a "football move", therefore incomplete.

I thought they blew that review, but the ref made the judgment that the dive and roll over was part of the interception, and that Polamalu didn't make a subsequent football move after the INT.

I disagree and thought it was the wrong call to overturn it, but I can understand why he did.

My point is that the good alternative is to actually see who moved first in the first place.

I disagree. He wasn't in control on the roll, so that wasn't a football move, then his knee knocked it out before he stopped or made another move.

Yeah, but that's really idealistic. Refs miss calls, and that doesn't make them bad refs. This particular one was extremely difficult--I couldn't even see the Faneca twitch on replay. I'd rather they do the most equitable thing after those missed calls that do guesswork and possibly compound the problem with a random/incorrect call.

The Steelers were doing well until they decided they couldn't pass any more.

Yea, I agree there. That Faneca flinch would have been extremely difficult to see. Especially by the side judge.

Yeah, Walters, that half-second bobble cost your team at least 12 yards.

Just curious (not entirely disagreeing, as I want to see your point), how was Polamalu not in control? He had the ball in both hands, planted his feet, rolled over twice, and came up with the ball before it accidently hit his knee.
