Have you checked the power mode settings for your laptop? One trick I learned a while ago, and it was good for 300% speed boost, is that some programs don't kick new processors to their highest speed.
If you want to guarantee you're running full blast, change your settings to "Always On", and if you don't have that one, "Desktop/Home Office" is usually about as good. "Maximum Performance" actually isn't maximum, "Always On" will make it faster

I can sim a season in under 2 mins, but thats just with one league. I have a universe with 12 leagues and it takes 20-25 to sim a season.

When I run "Max Battery", i get 768 Mhz, and "Always On" is 1.86 Ghz. So, you can run OOTP and sim away, and check the clock speed. As long as it shows the max of your processor, thats as fast as it'll get.

In one of my tests I ran a universe with 16 ML teams and 5 minor leagues attached, a total of 96 teams, through 1 complete year (1/1 through 12/31) in 9 minutes. It used to take about a half an hour to run a 16 team ML with 3 attached minor leagues, 64 total teams, through a season on OOTP 6.5 on my machine. |
