Yeah, totally ignore those posts, just focus on Markus' results and see how close you can get

Have you checked the power mode settings for your laptop? One trick I learned a while ago, and it was good for 300% speed boost, is that some programs don't kick new processors to their highest speed.

If you want to guarantee you're running full blast, change your settings to "Always On", and if you don't have that one, "Desktop/Home Office" is usually about as good. "Maximum Performance" actually isn't maximum, "Always On" will make it faster

I can sim a season in under 2 mins, but thats just with one league. I have a universe with 12 leagues and it takes 20-25 to sim a season.

And, if your computer supports this, you can see the clock speed of your processor if you right click on My Computer and choose properties, on that first screen it'll show up.

When I run "Max Battery", i get 768 Mhz, and "Always On" is 1.86 Ghz.

So, you can run OOTP and sim away, and check the clock speed. As long as it shows the max of your processor, thats as fast as it'll get.

I mean, I believe these numbers, so maybe it'll help people identify what about their leagues are causing slow downs if they can run these at advertised speeds.

That should lead to more efficient fixing of people's various slow downs.
I believe it is very important to remember that Markus' tests were probably run on "clean" machines. While we probably have many programs that are concurrently running in the background that do not need to be running.

In one of my tests I ran a universe with 16 ML teams and 5 minor leagues attached, a total of 96 teams, through 1 complete year (1/1 through 12/31) in 9 minutes. It used to take about a half an hour to run a 16 team ML with 3 attached minor leagues, 64 total teams, through a season on OOTP 6.5 on my machine.
