Wouldnt banning him be going a little too far? He is entitled to his opinion, no? The best antidote to opinions we find distasteful is to add our own reasoned opinions. ![]()

I don't think I am somehow.
Barrow are out of the FA Cup after losing 3-2 at home to Bristol Rovers. And I sent the DVD to you today. But when that will get to you I'm not sure exactly, but sometime in the back end of next week. |

TYVM for the disc. I really appreciate it. Ive also heard my WWSM has been shipped. But Amazon charged my creditcard twice. What is your opinion of the French plan to increase scoring?

We have something similar here - the Football League sponsor Coca-Cola will give £1 million to be spread amongst the 72 clubs if they score 4500 goals in the season. |

I wont be signing up then, I only use my real email for family and stuff so don't want it full of garbage by signing up on a message board, totally dumb rule imo and as of yet the only ones to do such a thing as I know of.

Watched the City v Newcastle game this morning, man are Newcastle bad and I mean bad with a capital B. Then went on to watch Wigan v Charlton, weather was as bad as what Newcastle was but a good game with Latics winning 3-2 in the end which makes it 4 wins in a row.

I woke up early to watch the game and got "Paid Programming". So I brewed up a cup of tea and visited with my wife (who was getting ready for work) instead. Yeah. Roeder was saying how fans likely be happy with a trophy and a mid-table finish. At this point a mid-table finish would be just peachy -- but someone has got to score goals. Trophies are pie-in-the-sky stuff when you're as bad as Newcastle appears to be. As a rare stateside Toon fan, I sure hope the flirtation with relegation doesn't carry on too long.

I think I'm right in saying Newcastle didn't have a shot on goal, didn't see the last hmm bout 10 minutes or so but they showed the shots and shots on target around the 80th minute and think Newcastle's stats were 5 shots, 0 on target, only reason it wasn't a landslide to City was because their players couldn't score in a brothel. |

But they actually had a few chances right at the end to snatch the win - I think Dyer had a shot saved in stoppage time. IMO there are a lot of bad teams in the Premiership, and the standard is pretty poor. |

Newcastle make me sad/angry every time I watch them.
They need a complete shift in the team and need to go into deep rebuilding. It needs to all start at the top by firing the chairman and manager and going with something different. Then they need to cut their losses and sell Micheal Owen. They could get 30-50 million USD off him depending on who buys. Even selling within the EPL would be ok since it will be years before Newcastle becomes good again. Then they need to focus on good young English talent and scout the four corners of the Earth for young foreign players that can be had for cheap. The Owen sell would help pay down the teams debt and hopefully get them in decent shape again. |

You look at the table and imo only two teams who are below us who you could say are better than us are Spurs and Liverpool and way their playing I wouldn't be scared of either, then you look above us and Portsmouth, Everton and Bolton aren't much better than us if at all as we were unlucky against Portsmouth to lose, we beat Bolton and drew against Everton all away from home as well. I know it's easy to say but in the games so far this season where we dropped points we could have done better with a bit of luck, lost at Newcastle and even the toon press admitted that Wigan should have won, Portsmouth said we should have got at least a point, we out played Watford and should have won, lost against Blackburn because of a goal given but was offside, only game we deserved to lose was the United game. Couple of good signings and we could be top ten or better year in year out, Webster doesn't look the answer in the middle of the back four as he looked out classed all day until he was subbed (at fault for one of the goals) so we could do with a central defender with De Zeeuw getting older, we could also do with bringing in a good young forward who wouldn't mind sitting on the bench as a back up, I'd like it to be Nugent from Preston but North End are playing well and doubt he would warm the bench. |

Chairmans already said he would sell but nobody as come in for them, he want's to sell to someone in the Newcastle area and not to say an example being an American or Asian buyer. I understand where he's coming from as although Whelan our Chairman is loaded he does at least understand the Latics fans with being from the area and having been a professional footballer. |
