Just curious, was the McDermott photo of a light heavyweight of the 60's to early 70's? Posted a 53-17-3,32KO record according to BoxRec. Interestingly he's due up in my next 67 replay.

Yes, this is him. He is from Holyoke and is the former New England LHW champion.

Thanks for all the additional pictures of NE boxers. My neighbor, Mike Methe, was in the Marines with Paul Raymond. I also worked with a teacher in Nantucket who knew Paul. Not to take anything away from Eddie Spence, but how did Paul lose to him.

Paul lost on cuts. He beat Spence in a return match. Its too bad Paul died so tragically. In fact his only two pro losses were on cuts.
