Request for 5 interesting CW's

I believe that these five may get into the db because of the rare countries that the fighters are from (well 4-5)

CW Yong-Suk Choi, South Korea - 19262
CW Hubert Zimmermann, Netherlands Antilles - 2573
CW Sammy Retta, Ethiopia - 19338
CW Alfredo Cacciatore, Switzerland - 42439

Thanks as always, John.

I call you a machine, or a 'Pujols', because you turn out the requests on such a quick, and consistent basis!

Thanks.

Pujols

Never heard of him. Last time I saw a baseball game was when the Brewers were in the World Series. Don't follow any sport other than professional boxing. I will watch the olympics when they're on but that's it. Too little time, too much to do.

That was quite a bit ago. But I can put Pujols' ability, achievement and talent in a perspective that you may understand:

He hits for average like Robin Yount,
Strikes out as infrequently as Tony Gwynn,
Hits home runs like Reggie Jackson,
and has the character and demeanor of Cal Ripken Jr.

Hope this sheds more light.

Nope. Recognize some of the names but I so don't follow sports that I'm totally ignorant about anything but boxing. the only active football player I can readily name is Bret Favre. Once in a while I'll watch MMA or the psuedo sport of pro wrestling (very infrequently nowadays) and I absolutely HATE olympic boxing.

Okay, then in boxing terms..."a machine like Pacquiao!" You keep facing the lineups that I request out there, like Pac taking on all the best opposition, and you knock 'em down like Pac taking out everything in his way, Barrera, Marquez, Morales, Hatton, De La Hoya, Cotto, Clottey!

Thank you.

comparison

There you go--I can relate to that. Thanks but compliments make me blush. Actually, it gives me pleasure to bring a fighter to life by doing his stats for the game. I think I've gotten relatively good at it. I can look at a fighter's career in the boxrec webpage and get a pretty good feel of where he fits in stat wise. I never use templates anymore but do each fighter's file from scratch. I know that many of the rookie fighters I rate with impressive records (so far) will not live up to the overall ratings of 3 or 4 that I give them but they can be revised if necessary sometime in the future. I also know that most of the fighters that i rate will never show up in the data pool, but that's cool. However, I transcribe them so that they are compatible with the prerequisites of the TBCB rating team just in case they are accepted. I no longer designate a fighter's career stage as Beginning, Pre Prime, Post Prime, etc. All are now designated as Prime.
As I told Ice Tea, I don't know Draw Power, Conditioning or Intellect from nothing so I always give them as numbers 1/4/4 respectively. I could go into much more detail about why a give a fighter a certain number but that's unnecessary and i don't have a formula that i feel obliged to strictly adhere to. My advice to anybody out there who wants to do a rating is to find a fighter whose career seems to be very similar, press copy in the game, and overwrite the appropriate data and tweak the stats a little. If your going to post a fighter, please, please, please transcribe all of the relevent info from boxrec including DOB (even if estimated) and weight range. It drives me nuts when someone is too lazy to do that. A large number of fighters i download I end up having to look up in boxdata to fill in the neglected info. Sometimes even the boxrec number is missing! It's a pain. Alright. I'm done bitching. Thanks for the appreciation of my efforts. It keeps me going.

I can say that I have been guilty of not doing the estimation DOB or weight in the past when I was creating and posting. I just wanted to put what was really "known" information according to what boxrec had. But I guess those estimations are really not that hard to estimate, especially since most fighters start their careers around the same age and of course the heavies fight at a certain weight range. I was just posting fighters to fill in certain "neglected" regions/countries.

I appreciate all the creations that you have posted from my requests. I try to find fighters that have decent records and fighters to fill in those countries that may not have a lot of "meat" from the database. I know that the prospects are harder to rate, but I understand that they are just rough estimations of where they are at in their early careers. It is nice to have these young fighters though, especially since a lot of them have pictures that can easily be found on the internet. I am sorry about posting so many names at one time in the past, but I guess that I was getting greedy because I love all the created files. Especially, since I only use one weight division. Hope that I am not taking away too much time from whatever you have planned, but I can say that I am grateful for all your files. I do edit and put your initials on all your creations. Don't you want to put your name or initials on your created files? Thanks for all you do and please let me know if it ever gets to be too much. I will always search boxrec for more fighters to add, so thank you for everything.

stats

Rest assured, you don't take any more time away from anything else I might be doing than I'm not willing to give. If I feel like doing something else than that is what I do. As far as the boxrec info goes, my philosophy is that if it's there use it. I have some other bitches about other people's ratings but I prefer to keep them to myself so not to unnecissarily offend someone. If I want to edit a download, then i just go ahead and do it. After all, it's not really that important. TBCB is, after all, a game.
