He wants Haye because he's a heavyweight and there is more money involved if he happens to win. I think Haye beats him, but the chance at a fractured heavyweight title is worth the risk.

He's retired, but his file deserved a CW rating.

Yeah I saw that, he recently pulled out of that fight with Huck due to his medical (heart) condition.
That new 5 rating appears more appropriate than the previous 2 because he gave Ramirez all he wanted in their draw not too long ago. |

I kept the two for his LHW rating. He was better as a CW.

Just added Harry "Kid" Furness Boxing Academy as a venue. It was, arguably, the most famous of the UK's boxing booths. I plan to add a few more to represent different areas. In anticipation of the career mode thought it might be interesting from a historical perspective to give UK fighters mores options than a gym for their career starts.

Ice Tea, do you think Jermall Charlo is still a 5 @ 154?
Also Murat @ CW, did his win over Lebedev impress you so think he deserves a tweak? |

First boxing venue to use Ring Card Girls
Just added The Hacienda Resort Hotel and Casino of Las Vegas as avenue. The Hotel was in operation from 1956 to 1996. Boxrec has 1964/11 as the earliest date for bouts in the venue. An Article by Bruce Banke in the May 1965 Ring (pages 32-34) reports weekly fight cards running on Tuesdays. Local promoter Bill Miller began running the cards. The Hacienda's Sports Director, Ben Roscoe is credited by Banke for introducing the popular innovation of the Ring Card Girl.

Just did some updates to the database,
Added announcer Alejandre Edgar Updated data and some bio info for all retired fighters with surnames beginning with A. I did not add any new fighters. Right now I'm content leave that to Mark when he gets things running again. I'll be working through the alphabet updating data on retired guys proceeding alphabetically.

Added some background information about The Cambria AC
Philadelphia's Cambria AC functioned as a 2,000 seat indoor venue 1917 thru 1963. The self-procalimed School of Hard Knocks was, according to some sources, the last of the old fight clubs. The Kensington Blood Pit, as known to locals held Friday night fight cards. From 1914 thru 1923 The Cambria AC also hosted Open Air bouts PhilaPlace - Cambria Athletic Club

Bear has been updating the database alphabetically, but I haven't updated the currently active fighters in a couple months due to problems with the game.

I've limited myself to retired male fighters. Not touching any active guys at all. In the middle of letter B. 10% completed

I'm constantly amazed at how you guys manage to update and add so many active fighters. Just the new guys in the lighter weights would seem to be a huge job.
