Sounds great! But I was hoping you'd go all the way down to my nephew's T-ball league. Some of these kids could really play and I was thinking maybe I could get an early inside track on some of the talent before my competitors up in Boston.

[quote=CubbyFan23]There will be no international version initially, this will come with a second release.[quote]
Any thoughts on which international leagues will be included? Japan, of course, and probably Korea. How are you thinking of handling Dominican and Venezuelan leagues? Some of these are affiliated with MLB teams. And what about lesser leagues such as the Netherlands, Australia, and so on? I'd love to see the Perth Heat included. In any case, I'm stoked about the release of this version. Will this one include this year's draft class, or is that coming in a future edition? This has been said many times, but I sincerely appreciate the effort that's gone into creating this roster set. I made a set (strictly for myself) for OOTP6, and it took me months. And that was just for the majors, AAA, AA, and A, and I had the benefit of stats in the initial template to figure out who many of the players were. You guys are starting from scratch. Thanks so much.

I couldn't ever find anything as far as a website goes for any Australian league...
I was looking for some info on one, because they seemto create a few prospects and was wanting to get a league of theirs in the game |

But yeah, there is still interest in baseball in Australia, and Australian players do sometimes make it to the majors here in the states. But in Australia, the only competition happens at the state and local levels. If we could bully the Aussies into not watching footy or cricket, maybe they'd start to appreciate baseball more. |

I'd like to see the Chinese pick up on baseball. In Taiwan its huge.. same in Korea and Japan. It seems plausible that as their economy grows and they get more leisure time, baseball might catch on in a big way. They could also buy a lot of Baseball sims and take care of our boys at OOTP!

Yeah they're still a little bitter about that Genghis Khan guy. On the Chinese scale that happened like yesterday.

I was asking if there was a way to play with JUST MLB-AA leagues... I know that your roster will include MLB-Rookie leagues, but I won't be needing the High A, Low A, SSA, Rookie leagues for my online league. Maybe this clarifies a little.

Actually, in China, the official policy it consider Genghis Khan a national hero, and consider him part of the Chinese heritage.
Yeah, I don't get it either. |

Not exactly. The Mongols did start a dynasty and were in the country for over 100 years. During that time, trade flourished and many cultural advances were made. With the Mongols controlling everything from China to Eastern Europe, easy transfer of knowledge was possible. Overall, the mongols were pretty nice for China.
The interesting thing is, Genghis Khan was never emperor of China. He just conquered some parts of it. It was his grandson that did most of the good stuff for them. But the heritage is all the same Temujin made the Mongols, the Mongols improved China, therefore, Genghis Khan should get some credit. Last edited by Willmore; 07-09-2006 at 06:17 AM. |

Australian Baseball League
The ABL did fold, but the former Claxton Sheild competition restarted. The WA team recently changed its name back to Perth Heat after briefly being known as the Western Heelers.
I have posted all the roster and stat info in the Non-Major League Rosters thread. |
