I see that it's tilted, but can't you fix that in the 3D editor? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The work you do on the stadiums is amazing. I am looking forward to your future ones, no matter what they are. They add a lot to the game for those who like to play historical seasons using 3D parks. Thanks again!

These will be awesome! Heck, I'm still thrilled to get the old 1962 version of Dodger Stadium added in to the mix. |

[QUOTE=risp2out;4087135]Yankee Stadium 1952.
First off, thanks for making this and all the other historical parks. Amazing! For this one, however, no matter what I do, the park appears to be tilted to the left. I have played with the camera angles, but it seems like the file itself. While I enjoy having a couple of beers at the ball game, this park makes me feel dizzy. [/QUOTEGo to the stadium in edit park section of OOTP and change the Rotate View degrees to 1 (from 45) and you can change the tilt using the Z + & - in small increments. If I remember correctly, I had the same tilt and that is how I fixed it. |

Same here - tho now that I think about it, I recall that as a kid I always wondered why during Steelers games at Three Rivers players uniforms got dirty as if they were playing on a natural grass/dirt field when they were playing on astroturf... now it makes sense! lol |

Silvam - I just now installed the updated Yankee Stadium (and have a White Sox-Yankees game underway as we speak) - and had to tell you - YOU TOTALLY NAILED IT!!! Absolutely brilliant work! This model is SPOT ON. Really has the 'feel' of the old ballpark the way she used to be. Awesome work, sir! Thanks for making these updates! |

Glad you liked it. They were pretty easy fixes. Love the criticism on these parks because I know I don't get everything right. Would love more input on how I could improve the existing ones Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silvam - you get WAY WAY WAY more right than not, that's for sure! You're incredibly talented to be able to use the software to make these models, and the work is absolutely outstanding! Every one of us in the OOTP community are reaping incredible benefits from your talent and work. It's just fantastic! Not sure about the rest of the guys, but I do tend to be a bit picky for ticky-tacky details (always have been, even as a kid... I drove my mother crazy when I was little... holy moly.. LOL) Anyway... if you are welcoming input on how to further improve the existing models... as far as Yankee Stadium is concerned - IF .. .and that's a verrrry big IF ... IF you ever wanted down the road to tweak it up a bit further - a few things come to mind that would totally - completely - complete the model: Of significance: 1.) the flagpole in center field - right behind the monuments. Mickey Mantle hit that flag pole more than a few times in his career - and not sure if it's urban legend or not, but it's said he hit the flag pole twice in the same game hitting from both sides of the plate. 1a.) - there was also a tallish structure (but shorter than the flagpole) in dead center field to the right of the monuments - I believe a set of loud speakers on a pole - that was in play (EVERYTHING in center field - the monuments, flag pole, and this thing, were all in play in those days) ... (not sure if this was added before or after 1952) 2.) - the big scoreboard in right field was supported by eight A-frame support beams (it would have toppled into the bleachers otherwise - lol) - they were a visible part of the look of the bleachers. They were painted white - but I'm not sure if that was their original color or if that was part of the big spruce-up the ballpark received somewhere around 1969-1970. (it was interesting that the ballpark got a complete facelift only a couple of years before it was gutted ....uhhh... I mean "renovated" ... (don't get me started...) ) Of lesser importance: (and off the top of my head, not sure when these were added relative to 1952) - auxiliary electric scoreboards at each 'end' of the bleachers on the wall at field level - football press box at the very end of the front of the upper deck in right field - gave an interesting camera angle for Giants games because it was not at the 50 yard line but skewed more toward the north end zone) Anyway - I'm not requesting another re-do ... just am throwing these out there to you in the event that, at some point, you are between projects and felt compelled to look at The Cathedral one more time... Appreciate the info. I'll see what I can do. I don't think the pictures I pulled my model from included that huge scoreboard with the supports as it doesn't look the same as in my model Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Silvam - you are truly a scholar and a gentleman! Thank you so very much for looking at it! You bring a VERY good point - the big right field scoreboard may have been a later upgrade from what was there in 1952 (I really should do a little research to see) - but I believe it was in place throughout the decade of the 60s - and for certain it was still there when the Tigers and Yankees closed out the old ballpark in October of '73. Am thinking it was in place at least as early as 1956 (again, I need to do some research to see - but I am pretty sure I've seen field-level pictures of Don Larsen throwing early in his epic WS game in '56 and I THINK that big scoreboard was in the background... though now I'm not sure...) Nonetheless - am wondering if it would be worthwhile if you do made the additions to perhaps post it as a separate ballpark file something to the tune of Yankee Stadium_1960s... since indeed this iteration of the old ballpark may well be different from the the way it was set up in '52 (and it is iconic in its own right as this is the way the park looked before it was demolished.... I mean.. "renovated" ... after the '73 season) Either way - you are awesome - and thank you, good sir! Last edited by LouGerig_IronHorse; 09-07-2016 at 11:17 AM. |

Veterans Stadium 1986
This is a remake of the veterans stadium I posted a while back. This is my own model made from scratch. Looks very similar to the other one but I think the crowd angles are much more realistic in this one and there are some more accurate tidbits nobody but me might realize. Enjoy
