The version of Cubbyfan's file that I used had the Japanese leagues added, so yes, they are supposed to be there.

Hey guys -- still alive.

Past month has been hectic as usual it seems. Just getting a new company off the ground, been flying back and forth between here and California, makes it tough to work on rosters.

I think as it stands right now, I'm going to give myself a break and keep an eye towards rosters in '08. I'd like to be a part of the team that does them (at least I hope this upcoming year everyone learns from mistakes and works together, myself included).

I'm guessing that I'll probably get bored some night this fall and start working on a 2008 set for OOTP 2007, in fact I would bet on it, but obviously I don't want to make promises I can't keep. Hopefully this year's version I put out was enough for a lot of you to have fun on, I realize that we failed at meeting some goals with the set but I think the version out now is pretty functional and fun. Thanks again to everyone who helped and was involved.

Thanks for your great work on this set.

Good luck with your new company. I can speak from experience that a new startup is a LOT of work, but it's very rewarding.

I was about to download a roster and deciding between cubby's last roster and melo's variation on it. Wanted to know what people thought was the best roster to use for a long term league?

Thanks!

I'm into the 2008 season playing Texas with this roster and I love it. Totally happy and have had no problems at all. Well, just a small one. The other day when I simmed a day I noticed in the line scores that Papelbon got the WIN for Boston AND a SAVE also. He pitched the 7th, Boston went ahead and Delcarmen pitched the 8th. Papelbon showed pitching the 9th and got the save. Strange!

If you're just starting out with a set, I would say to go ahead and use the variation, it fine tunes a lot some issues you might have with the original set like prospect ratings and excess coaches.

Possibly Josh and Jonathan Papelbon.
Josh is a pitcher in the Red Sox minor league system so might have been called up in your league?

Did anyone figure out why/how to fix the thing in the rosters where its still considered 2006 in january/feb 2007. When you sign free agents, you have to build in an extra year because they year advances sometime in spring training. So if you sign a guy in January to a 3 year contract, the first year ends 2 months later (before the season starts).

Sorry if this isn't clear.
