We are riding high on a 10 game winning streak that has seen us recapture the AL East from Willowbrook and given us a few game cushion over them. We dominate LHP whereas they are only 1 game over .500 at 11-10.



Lurte & Medina were great last week, the rest benefited from great run support and bullpen help. Yoshida has been a disappointment so far while Matalius is 3-0 for the Yankees.

3 games vs Stryper who are not that good and 3 games vs Endor City who have slowed down after starting off fairly well.

Offensively, not too many players struggled and even the ones that did were picked up by other players. Both Ray & George did well. Bobby, , Todd, Juan, Tim & Mighty Joe all did great.


3 AAA All Stars in SP Neil Diamond, 2b Kool Kat & SS Rum Tum Tugger. Kool Kat is doing great learning 2b and with the type of season Doug is having could see himself up at the ML level sooner vs later. Tugger is blocked by Anna for now.

Stryper is middle of the pack in most stats and near last in others. Larry Foster who was killing it the last 3 season is having a really bad season leaving McDavid to carry the team. While he's good, he's not elite. Borowiak is the only bright spot on offense. Scott Spear is having a decent season as a platoon player. Rookie Rf Shoul is hitting .326 in 45 AB's.

They finally have SP Hudson Hawk back healthy, which gives them the ace that they have lacked but the rest of their rotation is either very old or fairly young. They acquired Rankovic from Milwaukee and he's doing decent for the Red Devils. Bullfrog is a solid CL but they dont have a good pen to get to him.

The Caps are a bad match up for us, simply because Bobby McGee ****s down our running game almost completely. Offensively they are solid even with DH Ronnie Lewis struggling. Their rotation is 3rd behind Willowbrook & us. Their pen is weak, even after picking up JR Cannon off of waivers. So we will have to weather the storm and be patient vs their starters and once we get to the pen we can explode.

Our 15 game winning streak came to an end. With that streak, we now have a semi-comfortable lead in the AL East over Willowbrook. Lots of baseball left to be played.

With the streak ending, I might shake up the staff a bit. i am giving Novo til the all star break to figure things out, otherwise he's moving back to the pen. Either i will trade for a SP or Fairweather will move into the rotation.Griff & Zemichae would be part of any trade i make. Both are struggling and by moving Doug, it clears the way for Kool Kat next season. Kool Kat will not come up prior to September.

3 games @ Highland to close out the month. They have the worst record in the AL.

i am shaking the offense up a bit. Bobby is struggling badly vs RHP so Mighty Joe & Joe Cottoneye will see more PT at 1b. Hal has struggled badly vs RHP as well, so going forward Tim Milton is the starting LF. Welch will play every few days and be a defensive replacement.


Cottoneye will become the starting 2b vs LHP. Mighty Joe has played better vs LHP and will see a bit more PT at DH & 1b/
Injuries are mounting at AAA. I moved Rebecca Hoffman to AAA so she can come up in September to get some PT. She is slated to be the backup to Cain next season.
