Here's my go at the last one. I used the pic in post 726 but tried to balance it against the others provided. Here's a bit about the lad:

Cody Belles is a SABR member, 19th century baseball historian, and left-handed relief pitcher for Penn State Wilkes-Barre. He is credited for discovering the identity of the player depicted in a fairly popular image which was long referred to as the "Unknown New York Mutuals Player" who turned out to be Edward Ward. Belles has also interviewed various major league players such as Jim Gosger and Dante Bichette in the past.

He is known for his submarine delivery on the mound.

With a BR Bullpen bio like that, I couldn't resist making him a Mutual.

Cards picked Angel Gonzalez from the Cubs in the Rule 5 draft. Gonzalez, 22, had been a part of the Cubs farm system since 2021. This past season, Gonzalez posted a 7.94 ERA in 33 games for the Cubs High A+ affiliate South Bend Cubs, allowing 44 total runs in 45 1/3 innings and struck out 57 batters to walking 42 batters.

While he's hardly the next Fernando Valenzuela, Carlos Guevara throws a screwball, and that's cool enough for us. A Rule 5 pick from the Reds last winter, the Padres were able to hide Guevara on the roster early in the season due to a groin strain, and they finally got permission from the Reds to keep him in exchange for "future considerations." Guevara\'s scroogie is actually a plus offering that makes hitters look silly, but it's also his only big-league caliber pitch, leaving him firmly in the one-trick Carlos category. - Baseball Prospectus 2009
