Sorry to divert this thread down a sinister path...

Sport - especially football - is too popular and terrorists can't exist without significant public support. Imagine how quickly IRA support would have waned if they'd bombed Old Trafford... I guess the public backlash after the Olympic shootings warned the scum to stay well away.

Bottomline, terrorists need recreation too.

If I was a Freudian psychiatrist, I would wonder whether or not you had some bad experiences involving tennis.

I agree with zoraster I think terrorists stay away from certain targets, even a terrorist in a light plane would cause massive casualties if it dropped into Old Trafford during a game.

PPV? Man, could you imagine the backlash if the Yankees went to PPV? Or even a team like the NY Jets.

Absolutely agree. Especially when we pay inflated cable bills to pay for the 'right' to watch the NFL free. It might also be the beginning of the end for the NFL as the leading sport.

It is being discontinued after this season, because another broadcaster has some of the rights, after the EU threatened legal action if the Premier League didn't split the matches between more than one broadcaster (ie. Sky).

Every team appears on PPV think they have to appear at least 3 times in one season although they can appear more.

This is one of the most interesting posts I have ever read. I always used to dream that I was riding my bike to elementary school naked .
