Forums | World Cup 2006 | Owen out for 5 months Pages 1 2 | Post Reply AuthorTopic Lee Murray (G10)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:43 Jesue Newcastle are gonna need a few strikers.. all they've got left is Ameobi LOL Tom Bingham (G30)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:44 LMAO and chopra Me dad thinks he'll never play for england again, wont be good enuff, 5 months is a killer blow, still crouch to score in world cup final! Lee Murray (G10)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:46 no Tom Chopra's been sold to Cardiff. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:46 Damn, that is bad, 5 man midfield with Rooney up on his own then... Lee Murray (G10)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:48 Will- I reckon 4-3-3 or 4-5-1. Bringing Lennon into either side. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:51 -----------------Robinson --Nev-----Ferdi-----------Terry----A.Cole ------------------Beckham Lennon---Gerrard-----------Lampard---J.Cole -----------------Rooney Beckham can still use his passing to make oppourtunities. If not that then Gerrard or Lampard out, Beckham in place of one of them and Carrick or hardgreaves in the holding role. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:51 Lennon and J.Cole make it a 4-3-3 when they get forward. Tom Bingham (G30)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 11:55 -----------------Robinson -Carragher---Campbell-----Terry----A.Cole ----------------Lampard--- Beckham----------------------------J.Cole -----------------Gerrard -------------Rooney -----------------Crouch team for next game Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:1 I hope not! Lee Murray (G10)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:3 Agreed! Crouch and Carragher istead of Neville and Lennon/Carrick/HArgreaves. Joke. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:5 I take it you missed Campbell's inclusion too lol. Ian Lowe (G6)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:12 ................Robinson ...Nev......Ferd.......Terry....Cole Lennon/...Gerrard...Carrick...Lamps...Cole Becks ..................Roo Carrick holding in front of back 4, the rest of midfiled given licence to Bomb on, Roo given his 00 licence to kill (go where, when and how he wants. Edited on 21/06/2006 12:17:12 Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:17 lol, looks good, only worry is whether rooney is up to it yet? Alex Podmore Snr (G3)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:18 crouch has six 6 n 6 games i think he is in good form for england use it dont think he is good enough Ian Lowe (G6)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:19 Roo did OK for 70 mins last night, if he can do same on Sunday, Crouch can play target for the last 20, hoping for knock downs to the mids coming onto the ball, Gerrard and Lamps could have a field day then. Edited on 21/06/2006 12:19:51 David Hannant (G19) Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:35 I want to find the person that persists in spreading the rumour that Crouch can play up front on his own, and slap them with a copy of the Pensions Schemes Act 1993. Ben Jackson (G30)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 12:51 26 years old and 2nd best striker in England, i guarentee he will play for England again. Martyn Garnett (G2)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 14:3 I reckon it should be... ----------Robbo Nev----Rio------Terry----Cole ----------Carrick------------ Beck---Gerrard---Lamps---Cole -----------Rooney Ian Lowe (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 14:6 David, when he's all you've got, what else can you do? Ian Lowe (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 14:6 Martyn, is there an echo in here?;¬) Edited on 21/06/2006 14:07:08 Lee Murray (G10)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 14:38 Campbell aswell! what the hell were you thinking? He cost us the win yesterday! Tom Bingham (G30)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 14:41 sorry lee mate i forgot its not up to me what team i predict, would you like to predict a team for me and i say i did it? then youll be happy so i think thats good idea Alex Rietveld (G8)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 15:8 I'd like to be the 1st person here to say Robinson SUCKS (this World Cup). Take him off, put on David James and you probably wouldn't look so shaky at the back. And when he has his 30 seconds of clumsiness, just laugh and hope it doesn't affect the score line. Don't know whats happened to Robinson, maybe its his black gloves? Ian Lowe (G19)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 15:37 Lee, I don't think you're being entirely fair blaming Sol for the 2nd goal, Terry missed it 1st and Sol got a lousy bounce, no one knew where it was going, even Larsson and Melberg struggled to geta touch on it. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 15:52 I agree Alex, he can only get better though. Adrian Brown (G8)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 16:6 Carragher is a CB, should play him there. He would be better than Campbell and Terry on current form. David Hannant (G19)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 16:8 Has anyone noticed how Carragher can't play more than a ten yard pass. Every ball that he plays that's longer than that, or in the air is misplaced. He's undoubtedly a good player, but I did despair every time he pulled his leg back for a long ball. Will Turner (G4)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 16:17 I despair every time his name is on the teamsheet lol. Alex Rietveld (G8)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 17:1 David, for Englands sake, its good that he can't pass a ball over a big distance. Just imagine if all defenders were like Rio Ferdinand and keep blasting the ball aimlessly towards the other end. Josh Barrand (G2)Posted - 21 Jun 2006 17:3 hes out for 7 months |

As Pekerman not given the Argentina line up out yet, up to now he's been giving the line up out 24 hours before the game.

No last I heard they got relegated, they would have stayed up on goal difference but had a point deducted because of playing an ineligable player so ended up going down by 1 point.

I love a couple of these.

![]() For one thing, three of those came against Jamaica, a team that is so good they couldn't even get out of a Second Round CONCACAF group that had those world renowned soccer nations of Panama and El Salvador. Quote:

Sadly for Crouch his size means that he will always stand out and his bad moments might not go unnoticed like other players.

I wish our populace would join the rest of the world in handwringing...but the sport keeps growing slowly but steadily.
