Thought we might be in need of a league logo for the Majors... This is my first take on it, so let me know your thoughts or any changes you would like to see...

I wanted to use an "insignia" type eagle similar to the one the Newark Eagles used as their sleeve patch instead of a more modern looking eagle logo, so I hope this one works.

Really great thread with some superb logos and jerseys, nice work guys.

Couple things...

1) Is it just me, or does anyone else find it odd that most the logos are done in a Nickname/City format from top to bottom, as opposed to City/Nickname ... Maybe it's just the way my brain works, but I read those logos Orioles Baltimore, Yankees New York, etc etc... When obviously the team's names are Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees....

You had said you could change some logos to add different city names... Is it possible to change some of them so the city name is on top?

2) Is there any possibility of all these files getting included in one zip file somewhere?

I think you'll find that alot of people already have them all in a folder as they collected them the whole way through.

Thanks for the kind words! My thinking on the ordering is to make the nickname the focal point which means it has to be in the center so that it can be bigger than the city name. I don't mind changing some of them though to fit your suggestion. I could also put the icon on the lower portion and the city name on top.

If it helps finding the logos, I have them divided into folders:

Negro League Logos

MLB Logos

Federal League

Bottom of the Sixth League
