Two thirds of the way through week six and the Silver conference leads the Gold...... 5 to 3.

I'm going to be out of the UTBA office for most of the day unless it starts raining again. Myself and a few of the fellas around my parts are going on a 400 mile bike ride.

Man......the Binks got binked. Looks like Diggstown found their winning ways again.

Another close one, but they all count I really have the the big boys saving things for me lately, but the key today was my sweep at Fly. I never would have believed that would happen in a million years. Also have to say that I drafted Hodkinson as a sentimental choice, but he may be the team MVP thus far. Definitely a great value for a 7!!

We have now redefined "crappy", and scrappy is light years away! The Battlers totally bonked the Binks. Looks like it's back to the drawing board!

Congratulations, Brooks, and I'm glad we don't have a rematch against you! At least it is Saturday and a sushi and beer brunch is only a few hours away. Time to go lick my wounds!

Indeed, thanks . . . . 400 miles? I sure hope "bike" in this case means motorcycle

I'm right there with you ... fortunately I have two first round draft pick next year. Might help right the ship.

Thanks for the beating Bear although I thought it would be worse. Congrats on the victory and I may have let you score enough points to hang onto first in your division. Oh well......another loss in front of the home crowd. Folks in Lincoln are getting restless. I may have to move the team back to McCune.

On the bright side, I had 9 fighters go pre-prime. My squad may just show up and shock the Muckboys next week.

Shock the Muckboys? You say that like we aren't garbage. I'm already looking towards next season.

We were fortunate enough to turn things around in the second half. It was pretty close after the first one.

I wouldn't hesitate to name Art Hafey MVP of the week Greg. He took out both McGuigan and Gonzalez. I did not expect that at all.

On the other side I'm pretty happy that Kotelnik went 1-0-1. He is a bit of a gamble. I reasoned that he couldn't do any worse than Baret did at least. Arbachakov did what he was supposed to do. As did Yory-Boy, Anifowoshe and Sahaprom. I thought that Briceno could rise to the occasion but he didn't manage this time around.

I'm happy about how the team is performing right now but I can't shake the feeling I have that we still lack a certain something in comparison to some of the other high-placed teams.

Thank's and good luck Greg.

Yeah,I was hoping that Maldonado would at least give me one KO win and maybe two..but you swept the FLY. Just like the original UTBA..I am decent enough to stay close most weeks but well..close just doesnt cut it with me. Well, congrats again Lee and good luck the rest of the way. I think you will be a major factor come playoff time. Peace.

Thanks Tommy, as you know my team has struggled this season, and this is only my second competitive match of the year. My flyweights and Heavyweights have been a letdown thus far, and as for Art Hafey, I am glad I picked him because along with Jack Delaney he has been my only consistent fighter. Good luck for the rest of the season.

Greg

Congrats on the win Christopher. Honestly, I expected to be shellacked far worse than it turned out, considering only one of us took advantage of the lift on the ratings cap.

Here's the Mighty Mite in whom you should be proud:

Quote:
Fly- Midget Wolgast L KO 12 Joe Symonds

Fly- Vic Darchinyan L KO 3 Joe Symonds (Darchinyan advanced to pre-prime)

Symond doesn't pull off those upsets, dispatching my supposedly-dominant Fly's in dynamic fashion, and I'd have had an upset of my own!
