Both fighters look ready to collapse. Lacy can’t hit side of a barn with a body shot right now. Lucky for him Froch assists him but ducking into several hooks and uppercuts throughout the round. Another round for Lacy in the bank.

The Next Morning.

Sometimes reality really bites the big one, if you know what I’m saying. I woke up to a smoking Blonde (with both looks and temper) telling me the pillows weren’t worth a #@!%&! and that she’d believed my #@!%&! and rode all the way to Jersey. My neck didn’t feel so great either and the once magical pillows seemed sort of “flat” in their appearance. I later found out they were regular feather pillows and that I’d paid for the brand name and import fee/taxes.

Damn Europeans!

Steph confided in me that she took the money from a few of her “boyfriends” for her Jersey trip – telling them her dear old aunt had suddenly died and she needed to leave immediately.

I was conned by Macy’s. Stephanie was conned by me, inadvertently. Her boyfriends where conned by her. And all I had to show for it was a stiff-necked blond and two flat pillows. Thank God for the 50% off sale.

Round 14
Both fighters look exhausted – like stiff breeze could knock them over. Carl Froch is a one-handed fighter. Jeff Lacy is a one-eyed fighter, with the right eye just about swollen shut.

Nothing happens of consequence during the first minute. About halfway through the round, Froch’s good hand hooks its way into Lacy’s chin. Lacy freezes and Froch fires the same punch again, again and again! Lacey wears the same express King Kong did moments before toppling off the Empire State building, but in this case… the bell sounds first!

Years later....

You know what? I still have those damn pillows. My dog sleeps on one of them! I kid you not. I put one in a pillow case and the dog sleeps on it.
And whatever happened to Steph? Well, she married a Millionaire who dropped dead in an emergency room of all places a few years back.

He went there because he wasn't feeling too good. They tested him quickly and said, "Hey Buddy, you're fine. If you don't feel too hot tomorrow... just make an appointment with your family physician." He thanked them for their time and collapsed before he made it to the parking lot. He died instantly of a massive heart attack.

His family has millions and have the whole thing tied up in court till this day.

And Steph? Well, she broke a man's nose and another woman's arm in a barroom brawl in Arkansas several years ago and decided it was time to leave town. She's a black belt in some type of fighting she learned as a Navy Seal. I told her I was still more than certain that my quest for the magic pillow would not be in vain. She called me last week for the first time in 3 years and told me to buy the best pillow I could find. She was one her way into town .

I got a good mind to take the dog's pillow and fluff it it up a bit and still it in a pillow case. Then I think about those hot blue eyes and golden locks of hair - riding on a Harley.

Hold on, it's time for the final round!

Round 15

Carl Froch, exhausted with one good hand... POUNDS Jeff Lacy with that one good hand for the entire three minutes of the fifteen and final round.

The crowd rises to its feet and applauds the superhuman effort given by both men. Lacy refuses to go down and Froch uses the final two rounds to short circuit was appeared to be a turnaround in the fight from Jeff "Left Hook" Lacy.

In the end, hysteria erupts in the arena as fans of both fighters start brawling somewhere way back in the cheap seats.

Carl Froch takes the vacant World Super Middleweight Title with a stirring, blood-n-guts victory over Jeff Lacy here in North Jersey, the legendary breeding ground of all-time greats!

It's 2:22 Jersey time and a cute little blond who looks about 30% similar to the warrior woman Stephanie is smiling at me across the bar. Right now, 30% is close enough for me .

No more "what are you writing about?" for this man tonight!

As Tony Galento would say when leaving the room... "See you's later!"
