Jose De La Cruz
Jose De La Cruz of the Tigers... Same Zoom call coloring issue but I tried to compensate for it. Was a tough year last year to be a prospect... lots of Zoom, not a lot of ball...

Spencer Torkelson
Spencer Torkelson needs to stop smiling for the camera. Took longer than I thought to find pictures where he was in the preferred facegen mugshot pose... Thanks for the compliments on the facegens. Enjoy the next generation of Tigers!

Dave Stenhouse Jr., son of the 1962 AL All-Star pitcher and brother of Mike, was a catcher who was drafted in the 5th round of 1982 by the Blue Jays. He spent a notable amount of time at AAA Syracuse, but never made it to Toronto.
I took him in my draft (I forget which round) since catchers are always valuable. Yes, I snagged Dale Murphy in free agency, but even if he was still catching in Atlanta, I assume he's OF-bound, eventually. And Sundberg can't last forever. My draft was unremarkable, but a #1 pick (#25 overall) is a small price to pay for Murphy, I'd say. Mark Grant was about as interesting as things got. It was a 1B-heavy draft, anyhow. The Cubs (53-109), going first, took Cecil Fielder (bad news for Brian Rosinski, I guess) and then the Mets (63-99) took…Alvin Davis. Leaving the Padres (65-97) to take Doc Gooden at #3. Sigh. At least he'll be reunited with Darling, I guess. (San Diego's 2nd round pick? Roger McDowell. You can't make this stuff up…) The Red Sox could have had Mike Greenwell (originally projected as the #1 overall), but went for Lenny Dykstra, instead. We'll see how that pans out, down the road. |

Dave Stenhouse Jr.
I was able to get David Cone in the '80 draft. In '79 I got Robert Gilles who's giving Pudge a run for his money at C. We'll see if he continues to develop. Also got Tom Henke in '79. Harold Reynolds went undrafted. Got him on a minor league FA deal. Further down it was John Cerutti, Jeff Reed and the like. Fingers crossed.
Here's your number 1 pick, Dave Stenhouse Jr., in the powder blues of the Toronto Touch 'em Alls

1904 FaceGens
Got pipped in an epic 9-game 1903 WS by the A's. Came back from 4-1 down and led 4-0 in Game 9 but ran out of puff...
Pretty good this year, although this is merely Active Rosters so more may come to light along the way. Ignore the team notation (just for my reference) and apols if some of these are double-ups, it just means they haven’t taken in my save so let me know and I’ll auto-reload them. Some other randoms included.
Thanks bud G

Lou Schiappacasse
Lou Schiappacasse, nicknamed "Shippy," played two games for the Tigers in 1902. He went 0-5 with a walk (and an RBI). He played right field for Detroit; making an error on his only chance. He continued his career in the minors until passing in 1910 at the age of 29 from typhoid fever.

So as far as I can tell the only two backlogged that haven't been done are Joe Oeschger and Roy Leslie - does that seem right to you bud?

Gary Wilson
Gary Wilson was 23 years old when he entered the majors in 1902 with the Americans, appearing in place of regular second baseman Hobe Ferris on the last two days of the regular season. He went 2-for-11 with an RBI.
Facegen redone from scratch. btw - sorry to hear your Pirates lost in 9 in the sim, luckymann! My '03 Boston Americans are chasing the A's in the standings at the moment. Cy got hurt which didn't help... Also LePine on my to-do list plus the ones cited above... Last edited by LansdowneSt; 07-17-2021 at 11:33 AM. |

Nap's a Nap as I started in1903. Tigers also making a move. Great pitching for them - and I need to make a facegen for Rube Kisinger on their staff. Sam Crawford is leading them at the bat. On the A's it's our friend Topsy doing the damage.

Jack Clements
From bRef's Bullpen wiki: Jack Clements was the last left-handed catcher to play regularly in Major League Baseball. He was also the greatest to fill the niche, becoming the first catcher, left- or right-handed, to catch 1,000 games during a 17-season career. He was an above-average hitter who was sometimes among the league leaders in batting average or slugging.
I have no before for the requested facegen of him as I had redone him in the past at some point... |

My 1903 sim is with the OOTP development engine running instead of historic resets to actual ability... so I expect surprises. And a draft... so we'll see where Ty ends up

Frank Roth
"It was while Frank Roth . . . was at bat . . . that (three policemen) stepped up to Roth and told him that he was under arrest." - from an article in the N.Y. Times of April 25, 1904, about the arrest of Frank Roth and a couple of other Philadelphia players for playing ball on Sunday, in spite of the police commissioner's prior statement that Sunday ball would be permitted in Brooklyn
Frank Roth played six years in the majors for four different teams. Primarily a catcher, he was not a particularly strong hitter, with his best year being his rookie year when he hit .273. Went on to be the Yankee's first pitching coach. The facegen in my game looked pretty good. I smoothed it a bit and nudged the colors but I think it is fine. luckymann, if Frank made your list, I assume you had a worse version, but either way, here's a post of an .fg file that I think works. |

George Meakim
George Meakim had a great 1890 season with Louisville, going 12-7 with a 2.91 ERA, but it was downhill from there. Interestingly, on Feb. 6, 1915, he filed a patent for "Toe Or Heel Plate For Shoes," his version of baseball spikes.
Redid the facegen using the bRef picture. |

Ralph Caldwell
Ralph Caldwell played ball for the University of Pennsylvania's baseball team in 1903 and 1904. He made his professional baseball debut for the Philadelphia Phillies on September 10, 1904. In six appearances that season, he went 2–2 with a 4.17 earned run average. He also went 8 for 18 at the plate for a .444 batting average. Not bad for a college job. I worked at the library but wish I'd pitched for the Phillies... even at a 65 ERA+...
I didn't have a facegen in my pack, so no before picture... |

Chub Aubrey
Chub Aubrey played only one season in the majors, as the regular shortstop for the Boston Beaneaters in 1903, batting .212/.264/.249 in 96 games.
Harry Herbert Aubrey had no facegen in my pack, so this is from the bRef picture. He comes in at 5'7" and 130 lbs so had to plump the facegen so the game didn't make him quite so gaunt. |
