1919 World Series Game #2

Another error in the bottom of the 9th beats Washington

SS Frank Ellerbe mishandled a ball hit by the pitcher (again), that allowed the winning run to score.

1919 World Series Game #5

Senators get shut-out, Lose 2 OF due to Injury!

The Senators lost Lead-off Hitter Clyde Milan in the 2nd inning then his replacement Sam Rice in the 6th inning, both will miss the rest of the World Series. Down 3-2 the odds are now stacked against Washington

A 1st inning Sac-Fly by Rogers Hornsby is all St Louis needed for the win

I've always hated the middle slot ... then you begin to drool at the top ten prospects ... and then, didn't panned out - in the very needful positions ... Grrr ...

WASHINGTON WORLD CHAMPS! Did St Louis Throw the Series?

A throwing error by RF Jack Smith set up the winning run which Smith then allowed to score without a throw home! Many wonder if the 1919 World series was Fixed!

Actually, I had a feeling that the Senators may clinched the World Series ... they had the momentum ... with timely hitting, pitching and what not ... And looking back at the Cards, from the previous WSs ... their key players, like Hornsby, goes cold turkey, again!! ... anyway, Congrats to the Senators !!!

Yeah, Hornsby hitting .226 is like a .300 hitter batting .110

Was another fun year even when it sucked

the 1920 Draft

The 1920 draft Round 1

Pi Traynor was in fact available and we took him,

However there were a couple players we liked better BUT they were at the wrong position...we would have taken John L Sullivan had he not been 29 years old, but my god the guy can hit and he is Game ready RIGHT NOW!. All the other teams must be scared of his age too as he wasn't taken in the first round wich included 2 supplementel picks for a total of 18 players drafted
