Pitching staff issue

Playing a historical game with the Astros and the pitching staff is set to "Always start highest rested starter". It keeps wanting to start someone other then the highest rated starter, in this case Ken Forsch. I noticed the others weren't 100%, (they were 99%). Still wanted the #4 pitcher.

I'm 5 games into an Arizona League season that the commentators are consistently getting the number of RBIs a player has wrong for the computer controlled team. When a guy comes up to bat they'll say something like "Player X has 5 hits and 64 RBIs so far this season.", which obviously isn't right.

Having an issue with the nationality of players in my amateur draft. This thread ahs more detail

http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ml#post3308747

But basically this is what happened.

1. I set a new region of Australia and New Zealand in world_default.xml (note I did not change the level of baseball quality for any country)
2. I created a new game set in 1988 with 3% foreigner setting
3. I simmed from 1988 through to late 2011
4. On checking all of the draft histories for each team in my league from 1988-2011 the draft class has been as I expect, mostly all Australian and New Zealand players
5. I then went into the pre-season for 2012 and deleted the history of all players, erased service time, deleted all retired players and scheduled a fantasy draft to start my league proper in 2012
6. Whenever I get to the amateur draft in 2012 I have all players coming from 'Excellent Baseball Quality' nations such as USA, Puerto Rico, Venezuela, Cuba, Canada etc (I even tried setting Australia to Excellent quality and could only get about 30 players in the draft from Australia this way). I have also tried setting 'Foreigners' to zero, but this doesn't help.

On further testing it's the releasing of all players for the amateur draft that is causing the issue. One way I was able to overcome this was after the inaugural/fantasy draft set the quality fo baseball for Excellent nations to good, and then set Australia and New Zealand as Excellent (i.e. Aus and NZ are the only excellent nations in the game). Then I was able to have the correct nationalities coming through in my own ammy draft.

The big key here is that everything worked great as expected for the first 20 years of siming, ONLY when I released all players for a fantasy draft did the ammy draft somehow screw up.

Jim Unknown

I am playing a 12 import and all minors of all teams are filled with Jim Unknown. I'm into my second season and I didn't see this until recently. Help!

I got promoted from Rookie A to Single A in the Reds organization. The Single A playoffs were still going and when they finished I was given a season grade for the Single A team even though I hadn't managed a single game with them.

Also I got three emails about player promotions / demotions in a day. The first said half my team was transferred to other the clubs, the second was about a single transfer and the third told me that almost all the players I just lost were transferred back to my team.

Don't know if this has been posted already but i'm trying to promote my Rookie League Manager and Pitching Coach to Single A and they both keep saying they refuse to be DEMOTED.

Just started seeing this problem in box scores in a historical game. Not every boxscore nor every player but all too frequently I see a players position listed multiple times after his name. It is not consistent in regard to position but the position is always listed exactly 10 times.

Are you using 7-day lineups with pitchers listed?

Issue with Top Game Performances report omitting some top performances

MLB Quickstart
Through August of 2012, the top game performances sheet has accumulated many top performances. Seems to be working just fine.

Giancarlo Stanton has a 3 HR game that is announced in the newsfeed.

I check the Top Game Performances page to see if he has taken the #1 spot. However, he doesn't appear at all.

I simulate a day or two in case I just checked the report too early. He is still not on the list.

I have to believe there is an error occurring. I don't know the formula for batter game performance, but a 3 HR game is certainly better than some of the performances listed.

Playing an interleague game at an AL park , so DH is in place. My second baseman gets hurt running the bases. I take him out and change my DH ,who plays 2nd, to play second base. I then put in a replacement for the DH spot and after I put that player in I can't give him the DH tag on the dropdown. It gives me an option for P but this is a DH lineup. I put him as P to see what happens and he is the new pitcher.

Not a bug. Once a DH goes into the field a team forfeits the right to use a DH. It has happened but rarely in real life.

EXACT same thing happened to me, so this is not an isolated instance.

One night the game plays and saves fine, the next day I continue and notice in the transaction logs all the AI teams are sending guys down and calling up players identically named "Joe Unknown.". All the ghost players in the minors turned into Joe Unknowns.

I tried everything, but in the end I finally gave up and started over. Nothing I did could get rid of the Joe Unknowns.

Of course, in the new game all the HOF players, all time records, retired players, etc, are missing, so I'll probably have to start over again there too.

The computer GMs have no ratings and it's unclear what, if any, impact they have on the game.

The help index (or maybe the manual) says the GMs managerial ratings, but even if that made sense (GMs, unlike managers, don't "handle" players the way those ratings are defined). Something is wrong because all the GMs created in a fictional game or if you generate a new GM, they all have no managerial ratings so even the best GMs are unknown or inexperienced in the only ratings that supposedly matter. If the manager ratings matter for GMs, then even the worst rookie league managers will be much more highly rated than the top GMs.

Moreover, things are made more unclear because the scouting director sounds like he does what you would expect the GM to be doing. It even says if you change your scouting director, the whole direction of the team may change.

In sum, all other jobs have ratings particular to that job, except the GM who has virtually no ratings in any category and seemingly has little impact on the team compared to the scouting director.

Scores vanishing??

So I'm only into my first season with the Mariners and all of a sudden when i SIM a week and i go back to look at the players of the week or the scores from that prior week i get a blank screen like the picture shows. Any one else have this issue?

EDIT: So i started another season to see if it maybe was just the season i was in and even with the new season it is doing the same thing. So I'm wondering if I'm missing some file or if I've turned off something in the options. Any help would be great.

For me, when you click on the "All Transactions" button in the League Menu, it brings me to the "Major Transactions" screen instead. I have to then manually choose the "All Transactions" report from that screen for it to show up.

Wrong enum in the player comp field when using the 2012 CBA rules:

I know he's a middle of the lineup hitter, but I don't think that's his compensation type.

During RTS, this scoring play didn't come up in the scoring updates. It seems on certain errors scoring updates don't show.

I have submitted a ticket for this but I am curious if I am the only one having issues with option years.

I cannot void or execute options after the season as the message always expires

It is easy to reproduce, just start a season and sim it (I use the Rays) and the day after the WS, go read the messages and you should have some option messages. None of them work, it is very frustrating as I cannot void contracts
