Ugh. That should be made more independent in the next version. That is not a very good workaround at all if you wanted to switch between screens.

Agreed. That is why I gave up on it. The last patch, however, made it a little easier to move the players, so I tried it again. Still had to go back and forth between the two modes (3D and broadcast), but it went faster.

1st thing is to start a game. To do it right from the teams home page and go into the edit ballpark is harder in my opinion.
After you've set up the players, finish your game. Then go to the team home page and into edit ballpark. That's where you will copy the coords and paste them for day and night. It is a bit complicated.

If you don't start a game you can't see how the players look on the 3D field.

And Silvam is right. Once you set up for the players for 3D, the broadcast view will be like my broadcast pic. The outfielders and corner infielders off the field. So, it's one way or the other depending how you want to play it.

... I have almost completely abandoned MLB The Show because of the classic stadiums that are being made for this fantastic simulation of my favorite sport!!!

OUTSTANDING WORK!!!

I really would rather not duplicate any work that is already done. With that said. I'll take a look at it and see if I could do anything better

The new crowd textures look really look awesome. Before, it looked like a giant braided rope rug in the stands. Now it looks like there are actual people sitting in seats, watching the game.

Agree. The major difference I believe is the vertical rows of steps that appear and kind of separate he crowd into sections.

I will try to implement this in most of my parks

silvam14 - these parks are FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for providing us with these masterpieces! Having different era-specific versions of the old ballparks makes playing historical seasons really come to life.

A question for you - and a request:

Question - the version of Milwaukee County Stadium uploaded on 8/15 - is that a touch-up (maybe with the new crowd texture) of the original version of County Stadium uploaded earlier (not the 1955 version)? Just was curious since I'm using in my 1971 replay the version originally uploaded.

Request: If you find you have a little extra time available - would there be any chance you could make a late-60s/early 70s version of Tiger Stadium? Tiger Stadium in those days hadn't been repainted to the friendlier blue color scheme that we all remember from the 80s til the Tigers moved to Comerica - rather, it had the MUCH darker U.S. Army "olive drab" color scheme - that made the stadium look and feel even older (and more foreboding) than it actually was. That was the color scheme that was in place when the Lions still played there. Anyway - I thought I'd throw it out there to you if you'd consider making that older version of the park. (the version currently available is the blue 80s-90s era park)

Again - much appreciated on all the great work. My wife (who is a native Chicagoan) was particularly impressed with your renderings of her beloved Wrigley Field - especially the 1979 edition. Great stuff!

Hi. Thanks for the kind words.

Yes. The Milwaukee county stadium is just an updated version with some cleaned up textures etc.

The tiger stadium model is not my model. I took it from the 3D warehouse. I can look into changing the colors of the facades although I generally don't want to create a new version of a stadium for purely cosmetic reasons. Usually I only make changes when there are dimension changes or big structural changes. Like county stadium from the 50's to the 80s

Here's one for ya...

My crude mock-up of Fenway park from the 1960s-1975. Very crude.

But I made the roof dark grey, added dugouts, darkened the fenway green, and did a composite of the wall scoreboard.

Also included are the pics I cut and paste from:

(BTW, because of the angle in right, I wasn't able to include the old digital scoreboard in right field, but the pic is there)

3D? Maybe?

I'm almost embarrassed that it takes requests for my favorite park to get done when I have been spending all of my time working on all of the other parks first.

I'll surely work on this soon. Thanks for the pics. Those help a lot as it saves me time trying to find them
