Germany is sooo weird...they absolutely sucked before the tounament losing big against Italy and Holland and France. Then the tournament starts and its like a switch is flicked on deep inside their Teutonic soul..

Home advantage has always been pretty significant in World Cups; also, 'friendly' games in football are a terrible barometer.
