One thing that caught my eye though today is that about 99.5% of the fixtures tonight are cup games, weird how cup games have fallen on the same day around Europe.

I guess they have to what with the internationalization of the game. When do we get more Euro 08 qualifiers?

I guess that's just the way the Japanese leagues were setup (all corporate teams) until J. League came along. So these teams are still in a high-ish level.

There still aren't that many professional teams, and although it seems there may be loads of non-league teams who want to get into J. League eventually, probably only a fraction of them will ever get there.
Hopefully V.Varen Nagasaki will be one of them.
