Setting up new Custom League
I entered new abbreviations for each team as I got the team cities and nicknames the way I wanted them in the divisions. But, when the game begins, those aren't there. Looks like it never changed the ones from the random cities. So, now I'm going through every team and doing an edit to make the abbreviations readable. Sounds like a minor thing, but it makes it very hard when all that appears on some screens (like leaders) is a player name and an abbreviation.

Known bug since custom leagues were introduced on the 4th of August (yeah, I looked that up).

Maybe bugs, maybe... whatever, I don't want to be rude... two things:

-- There are no fighting majors in the DEL. It is 2+2 for roughing and a ten minute misconduct for dropping the gloves and throwing punches.

-- Fighting needs to be a) toned down and b) balanced a lot in the DEL. Kris Beech was in six fights 13 games into the season.
According to dropyourgloves.com the "real" Kris Beech has been involved in the grand total of three fights spanning an 18-year career since he joined the WHL junior league. This is way past the point of being ridiculous.

btw: These things apply to ALL European Leagues. Fighting rulese are wrong and there's too many fights by non-fighters. I have no idea why this has never been brought up so far on the forums.

This is true to an extent, however, I noticed that the DEL players have no fighting rate set in the DB, therefore all is randomized. I set all KHL players a fighting rate and the situation is a lot improved, even if certainly not ideal. At this point I am not too sure we have an active German researcher on board, if we do, it'd be better if he'll fill in those ratings.

Oh, I see. Well that's kinda bad. I just checked this savegame and Beech has a 19 for aggression and 16 for fighting, which would have him fight a little more. Still, there were 78 fights in about the first 90 games of the season. That's way too much.

Since the new update I cannot start a season without injured players
Im starting with Montreal Canadiens and I always got Drewiske Emelin (6month) and Murray on the injury list.

Now I got the same result by choosing opening day or current Nov 24th database.

Is there a way to fix this? Thanks in advance.

There was a new feature added with the latest patch:
In the file "presets.txt" injuries (and other stuff) can be set to appear with every new game you start. Since the real Emelin and Murray were injured to start the 2013-14 season they have preset injuries here, too.

Ok then I dont think that it is a good idea to include injured players to roster update, that doesn't make any sense. The game already generate random injury.

In Historical Mode the 1975 Draft is bugged
No players at all show up to draft - you can enter the draft screen but it´s empty.

Happened in 2 games in a row so i think it should be fixed

P.S. Ran through a test game again and it seems likely this only happens with game option 'generate rookies at age 17' activated

A follow up. Not a positive one. Now, I made a little research, and the situation is much worse than what I thought. It is true that in the KHL there are less non-fighters fighting thanks to proper DB adjustment, however, in my latest save, this is the situation:
In december there are 101 KHL players with at least 1 fight
54 in the DEL, 56 in the Liiga, 48 in Sweden, 37 in the extraliga, 50 in France, 25 in Norway.

There's definitely room for improvement.

I dont know if this has been mentioned but I have players who no longer wish to negotiate with me even though I never made them an offer. In this case I know that I wanted to make them an offer and they gave me a dollar amount however I dindt have the cap space to execute the offer. When I opened again later they didn't wnat to negoatiate with me any longer...

THE FIX:
What corrects this issue now that I have the cap space is to just change their roll from normal to backup or whatever and then go back to normal role and then ask for a resposne and now they are satisfied with the deal.

Its a weird glitch that should be corrected as they aren't upset with me to begin with,

I have a bug that's been re-occurring and causing the game to crash...

I'm currently in the NIHL-S1 league and for the most part it works okay but when the playoffs start, if I sim through the first round (both of the games) the game crashes at the end of the game. If I skip to the end of the day, it works fine.

It is only for the first round, and it's happened in 3 seasons in a row.

Another bug, and so far only with the NIHL-S1 league.

When youre contract with a team is up, there is no way to sign an extension with that team. You just become unemployed at the end of the season. It happened twice, with two different teams, and they still don't have a GM yet aren't shown as available under Available Jobs.

BUG REPORT:

Entry level contracts I can sign max out at 925,000

Apparently AI teams can sign players to above 1,000,000 entry levels. So when I'm trying to sign undrafted free agents, I can only offer than 925k and the AI offers them 1m+ and i'll lose out on the player.

Do you guys need a screen shot or has this been documented somewhere already?

Playing Historical League starting with the Canadiens in 73
In 74, the draft was fine.
In 75, the draft did not populate. The only way out of the screen was to hit play day. It appears as if there wasn't a draft.

Next season, 75-75, can't dress more than 18.
