In 1878, all of the divisional races are done except for one - Denton City and Bay St. Clair finished tied at the top of the TU West at 97-65 and will battle in a one-game playoff to determine the division winner.

7 of the 8 division winners were repeat champions. And the new division winner, High Mesa, is not that new. The Buckaroos won four straight TU East titles from 1871-1874, and won Pro Cup IV in 1874, so they are quite familiar with the postseason.

The 1878 playoffs will be a battle of teams who know what postseason baseball is all about. It should be a fun ride, and whoever wins Pro Cup VIII will be a well-deserved champion.
