I thought. Maybe one of the updates borked the jersey fonts thing, however as soon as Tehsuigi pointed it out that the game can't load my files I knew my theory was thrown out the window

You know what would be nice? And please, let me know if this feature already exists.

When exporting your uniform to a zip file, it would be kind of nice to have the zip contain the pre-existing folders needed for the files (ballcaps, colors, jerseys, jersey numbers, pants, socks), so we could just unzip right into the OOTPx directory.

I have to admit just the thought of having to drag and drop all of my files into all of those folders sometimes inhibits me from playing around with the maker. I know, that is sad/pathetic/2026, but thats where I'm at.

If you're using Windows there's an "install uniform" option in the File menu that automatically puts the components into the proper folders. But I may look into updating the zip format because that does kinda make sense.

I prefer the current format of having them in one folder because I'm usually going through multiple iterations and prefer not to clutter up the game data folders.

Couple questions:

1. I haven't been able to figure out how to have two lines on the uniform front. Is this possible? It's probably obvious, and I'm overlooking it.

2. I'd like to use some of the fonts that come with Windows (or at least have the option). However, when I use Choose a Local Font, and go to C:\Windows\Fonts, none of them show up. Is there a way to access them? And if not, is that why the program doesn't include them in the list?

The closes you can do by default is to use the "headspoon" and set the middle stripe to transparent or the same color as the jersey. Beyond that you'll need to add it as an image or custom layer.

That's basic Windows/Electron security - the app can't access system folders because it would be trivial to compromise a system if it could. Simplest thing to do would be to copy the fonts you want to use to another folder (or just copy the entire c:\windows\fonts folder somewhere else) and load them from there.

Sorry, I wasn't clear enough. I meant two lines of text. So for a team name like Granite Carvers, instead of having it all on one line, I'd prefer to have it broken into two lines.

Ah, I see - that isn't possible, unfortunately. You'd have to create the wordmark in another program and import it as an image.

Would it be possible to add the font name somewhere on the preview image that gets generated?

Also, when creating a cap, if using text, the letter(s) is off to the left a bit, and not centered. Also, if I move the letter, or make it bigger, then go to the sock or font tab, when I come back to either of the other tabs, the size and location reverts back to where it was by default.

Lastly, when clicking the Generate Preview button, would it be possible to have the preview image pop up in a window, instead of having to save the file?

Technically possible but not likely since a user could use multiple fonts in a uniform.

That is be design to accommodate things like "LA".

Now that's interesting - haven't noticed that before, but I'll take a look at that.

TBH I don't see the point in that - you'd still have to save it to a file to use it anywhere.

I think the point may be to see what it looks like before finalizing the uniform?

The preview is the same as what's visible in the uniform maker so kind of pointless no?

My assumption was the point of the Preview screen was to share a quick snapshot of the entire set so people could see everything in one place, as opposed to cluttering up the thread posting all the items. I love it. Much rather add one attachment than five.

That is exactly what it's for.

Yes I should have included that in my post, I was trying to say that generating the preview in it's own window was pointless, not that the preview itself is pointless. The preview image was a great idea.

Eriq,

What is the pixel dimensions for the jersey layer? I was originally thinking 550x1080, but that seems to be a little too big perhaps. Just trying my hand at making some custom layers, but everything seems just a touch off.

Thanks,
Ised

It's 1024x512. You can create a custom jersey in the program and then use the diffuse map as a template for the custom layer, see attached file as an example. Here you can easily see were front, back and sleeve are exactly. I added the black vertical lines to show were the front and the sides of the jersey are. The horizontal pink line and area go all around the jersey. If you count pixels from the top of the template to the pink line at the back and from the bottom of the template to the pink line at the front you'll see this is off by 5 pixels. Something to keep in mind for some jersey designs.

Minor bug?

I've encountered what could be a minor bug, more of an inconvience if anything. I've got over 400 user fonts, which I think is the cause of the issue.

What happens is, when I choose a jersey color, the button color changes to what I chose for the jersey, and it takes a few minutes for the jersey to show up in the same color.

I'm still seeing the issue with the wordmarks on the jerseys and caps moving back to their default size/location if I resized and moved them after I change to one of the other tabs, then go back. But since you haven't released a new version, that's to be expected.
