Carmelo Negron isn't going to place very high at this point. 7 rated with a record of 1-9.

You have Gannigan and Juuko on your team. Both of them perform very good considering their ratings.

Sorry you had to be on the short end of this jab Hugh. You never seem to catch a break.
Lets see if the boys can keep up this kind of effort in the coming weeks before we say anything about sleeping giants. I had a nice win in week 2 before crashing and burning the last few weeks. Still nice to get the win since losing sucks hard.

They were a bit more valuable in the previous UTBA where they were rated 4 and 3 instead of 5 and 4. Finding decent performers at lower rankings is crucial for sucess in this league. They save cap space. In the previous league I had two 13's and a three 9's on my club. I needed to beat the bushes for those cap savers. Being able to latch on to them was a big part of my success. Spent hours obsessively scouting. I'd make my short lists of my top 20 guys at each rating in each weight class and ponder them for days. Would only play test guys against each other if I was making a choice between two or three guys. As an initial expansion team I came in with a severe cap restriction and could only select two 9's. The only edge i had was knowing what the rosters in the league looked like. This enabled me to at least place my 9's in the weight class where i thought they would be most effective.

You are right Bear. the "extra" points from low rated fighters is often what makes or breaks a team.

On my team Gibbs, Ruelas, Briceno and Thomas has performed quite well considering their ratings. McGuigan and Anifowoshe are two high rated fighters that has to pick up the pace if they are to stay on the team the next season. Don't think I will be doing any big changes in the roster this season.

With that said if anyone feels like making a trade proposal I am always listening. A reinforcement in the LW division would be interesting.
