Yes. Seeing the A's leave the bases juiced two innings in a row.

Seeing Dan Johnson ground out yet again?

Seeing a RISP not score yet again?

Yeah, Jason may suck but at least he's hitting over .100.

And Swish comes through again! Thank goodness. We didn't need more LOB.

Let's go back-to-back-to-back again, Frank!

LOL. You just used "he's hitting over .100" as a complimentary term towards Jason Kendall.

Good pitching, but a lucky win because the offense blew yet again.

I can't forsee half the lineup being so awful for the whole season. And with Swisher's new approach (being able to go the opposite way is fantastic) and Chavvy doing his thing, I don't believe that when Ellis, Johnson, and Thomas start hitting the others will slump too much.

The A's have played way, way under what they're capable of doing and they still are right around .500. They'll be fine.

Milton Bradley's first blowup as an A! (scroll down to "Briefly"):

Quote:
Two members of the team confirmed Sunday's suspicions that Milton Bradley tossed the bucket of sunflowers seeds during the game vs. the Angels, but the general sentiment was: good. The A's like Bradley's intensity and desire to win, seed-tossing and all.

I really wish they would just DL Street retroactive to last week, let him get totally rested and back on track, and then bring him back. In the meantime the A's could have a player who actually might be able to play on the roster.

I really don't want them to rush Street back and have this cause a problem all year. 15 days is much better than 4-5 days once a month.

That's why they sent Keilty down and brought Gaudin up (who has yet to pitch in a game this season, IIRC), but yeah, I agree. The dude hasn't pitched for a week. He probably won't pitch for another three or four days. You're looking at 10 days there, so just give him an extra few and make it a DL stint so we can have another able body on the roster.

This could be the "Dan Johnson is back" game. He wasn't even in the starting lineup tonight.

Go A's!!!!!!!

Riddle me this, Batman. Why does the guy fresh up from AAA pitch in the 9th inning of a tie game? Were Calero, Duchscherer, and... anybody else with an arm all unavailable?

I think the idea was, "Let's get a guy who can go a few innings since we're going to extras." The problem is, when you're on the road you have to play to NOT ALLOW RUNS NO MATTER WHAT BECAUSE THAT MEANS YOU LOSE AUTOMATICALLY. You have a little more flexibility at home. So yeah, dumb again.

Damn, I had $20 on this game too. Not much money, but still.

I was ecstatic when Oakland was making the comeback, only to see em give it right back up.

What's up with Crosby? I don't follow the A's so maybe his performance is better then his numbers indicate, but his stats are not looking impressive at all.

I'm sad Gaudin was the guy who gave up the game winning run, I liked him when he was a Jay.

It's probably the random injuries and not being able to get into a rhythm yet this year. If he can just stay a little bit healthy I think he'll be fine.

EDIT: JD beat me to it as I said the same thing. But I will give Macha points (not many, but some) for dropping him in the order tonight.
