Originally i had signed Hee-sop Choi as my HC but after consideration i released him and signed my longtime friend Vince Brunacini.
Aprils schedule is moderately hard. i think Pontiac, Springfield & Highland will be better then what they are predicted to be but we'll see. Delgado is the only true hard team, we'll see this month.

While this team is young and raw, they can be dangerous. Draco will be a dominant pitcher soon. Bostic is ROY and will be a star soon along with Hootch, Canyon & Land . Komljenovic, while not the best LF in the world these days still had 51 HR last season and is still a beast.

They, like Pontiac have a young but potentially dangerous team. They have a good young rotation. Mutter & Carpenter are future aces that remind me of Tim Hudson & Barry Zito.A good 2nd yr CL in Capelli. their offense is unproven but given time and another star they will be contenders in a yr or 2.

Highland has a good core and young players with a few veterans but only 1-2 of are stars. The erst are just here until the Scots get players better to replace them. Williams is a great 2 Way player who won teh JWA award last season. Charles Reid & Ernie Banks are very good players and Dylan McKay has been here for many seasons and is consistent.

I made a few changes to the roster. Placed RP Nori Sugahara on the 15 Day DL. He has been banged up since ST and looked terrible in his 1 game this season.i recalled SP Jack Wedman from AAA and he will be the 5th starter. I demoted Rf Curt Bauer. Curt decided to argue balls and strikes on a day when I had 0 OF left available and i used Jackie Wilson in RF. I recalled P Toni Braxton from AAA, who for now will be in the pen.


Pontiac took 2 of 3 from us to open the season. Momcilo has done well for them so far and Nodar torched us in that series. At 6-3 they have looked good so far.

For me, it's hard to root against these guys with the history I have with this team, city and it's players. I think we have a better rotation and back end of the bullpen than they do. Not taking anything away from Johnson, Matuluis, Fink & Drysdale. They are good but I think my guys are better. They do have a more powerful offense who can hot for higher average with a better OBP then we can. If we win the division it will be a dogfight to the end.
