I really like Belair Beach's uniforms too. I placed the team in San Diego's Petco Park - the look and feel of the ballpark makes sense for the Sunbirds. |

Nope, I didn't have that kind of range... 544 assists... more like 400.
But I will say I didn't make many errors... if if could get to it, the hitter was out... rarely made an error... strong arm and accurate, too. Just didn't have much range... and not much of a hitter, either... .275 or so with little power... singles hitter... always would go up the middle for a base hit. Thanks, jg2977. Against other pitchers I would try to work the count. Usually had a good eye, rarely chased bad pitches. Drew walks. I would try to go with the pitch. Inside pitches I would pull, outside pitches I would go up the middle or try to hit the other way. I batted over .300, just didn't have any power. I only played Babe Ruth for 2 years. When we moved to the regulation sized field, I didn't have the arm to play 3rd base or SS, so the coaches usually put me at 1st or 2nd base, or I played outfield. When playing outfield I would usually just throw the ball to the relay man. But I wasn't great at tracking fly balls either. After that I decided to hang up my baseball cleats. I played some tennis and then when I got to high school, I ran cross-country and long-distance track because I had great endurance. |

Jeff, as you know hurricanekevin is making new logos for many of my IPA teams... the ones that needed work for one reason or another... to match his new Rolling Hills Racers logos, I updated the jerseys and cap, using the new lighter blue and brighter orange colors.
It's a new font and I even managed to put a swoosh on the names, too. Use them if you like them... don't use them if you don't. hurricanekevin will not be making any more logos for a while... he had a death in the family... our prayers and thoughts are with him during this sad time. Can you post your favorite uniforms for the Grand City Cybercats? I know that there are many choices. I'd like to see the ones that you personally like the best.

However, the original Cybercats unis were very good, too... very creative... I think they had claw marks on the uniforms. My favorite logo is the new one by hurricanekevin... it is more elaborately designed... it has more elements... the ones I made are just too plain and simple... I don't know how to add items like stars, baseball, gloves, buildings... I don't know how to have bands of colors on the logo. Last edited by Eugene Church; 04-08-2023 at 01:55 PM. |

Here are two more variations of the Grand City home jerseys... the side elements did not fit well on the home jersey... I would have had to make the nickname Cybercats smaller to use the slashes.
Sorry, I don't have the original Grand City jerseys. You may be able to find it in the original thread I created to get the first IPA graphics done... it's a long thread, but you might find some things you might like... it was the work of the best graphics guys around at that time. Here's the home jersey that I'm currently using, and how it shows up in the game. I do like it.

Wow, in your third season you improved even more - a .365 batting average? Also, your Belair Beach Sunbirds upset the Grand City Cybercats in the Round of 64 to advance to the Round of 32 of my IPA playoffs.

Wow, after all my years of "good field, no hit" in service fast-pitch softball in the USAF and years of church-league slow-pitch softball, I have finally become a hitter.
Thank for posting the stats , Jeff. I'll return the favor when you debut next year in my IPA... it takes me a while to play a season... it won't be long... my Pro Cup Series is in its 6th game now. |

No rush, EC. Take all the time you need.
I'm doing a 64-team playoff now, best-of-three series. I love it because I can see the wonderful graphics and logos for every team now. And I love the drama of a short series, and the constant uncertainty of who might win or lose. It's October Madness. |

In Game One of the Round of 32 you only went 1-for-5, but your lone hit was a big one. With your Sunbirds trailing the Snappers 1-0, you roped a 2-run double over the center fielder's head to put Belair Beach in the lead, and they were off and running towards an 11-1 victory. Belair Beach is within one victory of the Sweet 16.
