My living brother bought me OOTP 20 and FHM 6 for Christmas. So there is a chance that I might create some dynasties for both games, and do reports related to them. Story is still mostly stalled, unfortunately, at the current time. But it will come when it comes and how it comes, Lord willing, I'm quite sure.
Just wanted to share a little here, so that you all know I'm still around and all, at least. Talk more soon, I hope. CD out.

I hope Lawn Loaf would do sets for the Jupiter High School Warriors baseball team from Jupiter, Florida. I don't think they've been done yet, to be honest. Maybe you could mention that school and team to him later? Some pictures of the team here:
http://jupiterwarriors.org/ I don't know about you, or others around here, but I know at least I would love to have a team set for that school's team, as long as they're currently working on Florida high school teams. And I really don't think they've been added to the relevant thread yet, either. Hope you had a good Christmas, and that your 2020 is a great year for you, Lord willing, of course. CD out.

What colors and/or font styles would you perhaps recommend for teams called the Pizzazz or the Mainstreeters, for example? I'm just wondering, that's all. Might call some teams that are from cities in one of my fictional nations that don't yet have official identities either of those names, I think. CD out.

Pizzazz should be something eyecatching… dark burgundy, orange and bright red would be splashy and snazzy. Mainstreeters should be mainstreet America... red and blue with white trim. Go to this thread and look at the colors... I'm sure you could find something there. https://forums.ootpdevelopments.com/...d.php?t=303562 Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-28-2019 at 09:20 PM. |

Well, somewhere in my state, one of the high schools calls their dance team the Pizzazz, and although Lawn Loaf hasn't gotten to most, if not all, Minnesota high school baseball teams, there is a team name used by a high school near me by the name of Mainstreeters, if memory serves me correctly.
However, the cities in Helvarta that may need team nicknames include names like Hothotai, Varkeli, and Kuunola, to name just a few. Here's a larger version of a flag someone made me on another site for said nation to look at. Maybe at least one or two of the colors on the national flag might work, if not all of them, for the Mainstreeters. Or similar enough colors? I'll think about your suggestion related to the potential Pizzazz team name, in any case, though. Thank you for your time, and how was your Christmas? Do you have any hopes and/or expectations for 2020? Just curious, that's all. Talk more with you later, I'm sure, Lord willing. CD out.

Sauk Centre, apparently. If I remember correctly, Sinclair Lewis might have been from there, but I don't think I've read any of his work before. I could be wrong, but not sure about that, just yet. CD out.

Besides the Bible, obviously, what would you probably say your ten favorite books that you've read are? Just curious. Maybe you and I have both read them at least once in our lives, Eugene.
One of my favorites is Pilgrim's Progress. It's been at least a while since I've last read them, probably, but I believe I also have read Robinson Crusoe and The House of Seven Gables, among various others before as well. I plan to start reading the New Testament yet again once 2020 starts up, and seeing where the Lord leads me in my daily readings from there, as usual, of course. I'll finish reading the Old Testament's book of Malachi again on the 31st, I expect, and then see what happens next with God's Word and me, from then on, I'm sure. I don't know what this next year holds in store for humanity yet, obviously. But I still think it will be a very momentous year for many people and many nations. No matter what happens, as we approach the unavoidable day of reckoning for the whole world with the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords, in relation to various matters yet-unresolved, et cetera. As for me, I will continue to seek His face and do His will and be about His business as best as I possibly can in this world of His while I am still around and able to do that in my life, for sure. Am I perfect? No, of course not, but I will still seek to do His will as best as I can, et cetera, Eugene, for as long as I can, in my own life, in any case. Will talk more later, I'm sure. I hope you have a great year, and that we can get to know each other a lot better this year, somehow, if at all possible, of course, Eugene. CD out.

Schools in Minnesota I would hope Lawn Loaf would do, or someone else would do, are:
Barnum Bombers Carlton Bulldogs Esko Eskomos St. Peter Saints St. Clair (With both Indian and Cyclone versions [St. Clair was the Indians until sometime in the 1990's, in regards to their nickname, and its high school was also my high school alma mater. Main colors at the time, as they probably still are, were red, white, and black, I believe]) Wrenshall Wrens Lake Crystal-Welcome Memorial Mankato West Mankato East Le Sueur Giants Mankato Loyola St. James Waseca Janesville-Waldorf-Pemberton Nicollet Moose Lake-Willow River Lake Region Christian School Hornets These are just a few of the many schools in Minnesota he or someone else could do, of course, if they wanted to and could, Eugene. I went to a school in Indiana called Washington Township High School for a year, and they were the Senators. Main colors were red, white, and black at that time, if memory serves me correctly. I also went to school in Illinois before coming originally to Minnesota the first time. I only went to school in Illinois for a year, as a kindergarten student, however. I've been in Minnesota for most of my life, in truth. It can be beautiful in places, and no doubt is, but I haven't seen much of it outside of moving to certain areas of the state at various times in my life. Will write more later, I'm sure. May the Lord bless you and yours richly, as He so desires, in the next year and/or future years to come, I hope, Eugene. CD out.

Eugene, in a league with team nicknames being present such as the Hounds, the Villains, and the Aces, what might fit well with them, perhaps, in your view? I'd need possible suggestions for up to 13 more teams, in order to have two subleagues with eight teams each, I think.
One subleague would have the Helvarta City Hounds, Asvanger Villains, Alingsun Aces, and five other teams in the following cities: Hvidlev Karlsrup Lidritoft Tjarnajhavyk Varmahnes While the other league would have teams in the following locations: Akusker Haukikzhala Hothotai Kuunola Lindesviken Lonsholar Tilliklif Varkeli Helvarta's naming customs, for instance, whether for people or teams, would be highly influenced by Scandinavian/Nordic-type things, but not completely, I'd imagine. But I'm not quite sure that just using names from that sort of culture would work here, somehow, in any case. Might you have any suggestions that might possibly work quite well here, somehow, Eugene? Just wondering, that's all. CD out.

Eugene, I dream big, as you know. These teams would be part of at least one of my dynasties, if and when created. Their overall league isn't created yet, in any of my dynasties, in any version of OOTP, just so you know.
I suppose me having to deal daily with my Asperger's Syndrome condition might be one, if not the only, reason it's often hard for me to focus on certain things at times, to be honest. As I've mentioned before, it's not always all that easy for me to deal with in my life. But God has definitely helped me with things, both offline and online, for quite some time, I'm quite sure, in it. That's when I've let Him do so, of course, you know. I'm not sure which dynasties yet that these proposed teams might periodically pop up in might be part of, but I believe they will eventually pop up in them periodically, at least. We might see some Helvartans, for instance, in this and related dynasties, but not sure about that just yet, to be sure. I'll have to do some more thinking, obviously, about these potential teams, in order to come up with some plausible names and ideas for looks related to them. Now they wouldn't necessarily have the same cultural practices of the Norsemen from the Middle Ages, for example, but they might still have some obvious Scandinavian/Nordic-style looks, et cetera, I think. Thank you for your input and friendship, et cetera. As for your earlier question about whether your reports are good, I have no complaints with them currently, and I don't think I ever have, to be honest, Eugene. If you'd like, I could share some details related to my fictional countries, so that you could perhaps incorporate one or more of them at least partly into your game and have personnel and players perhaps show up in your dynasties periodically. If interested in the idea, please let me know and we'll go from there as needed and/or desired, et cetera, Eugene. Thanks again for your time and all. CD out.

I wonder, if I keep all my future requests as simple as possible, if a request for help with at least one of my teams and/or be acceptable to others. I'm thinking Poltragow's home uniform could use some help, for example. Maybe someone else might know better how to angle and center text on the sash-like element I have for the applicable uniform, Eugene.
Will write more later, I'm sure. CD out.

Sorry, I don't want to debate the right and wrong of your situation... we have already done that many times in the past... it is time to move along, so please read this carefully... I have told you many, many times... it would be best if you would use graphics that have already been done by others on the Forums. That is the best way to get good graphics now... special requests don't get done very often anymore... they rarely get done... the OOTP Graphics Forum is a dying breed... only a few people are posting on it any longer... only low, Lawn Loaf and a few others any longer post... and they just post teams they are interested in... most of them only post in a Sticky. Create your teams from teams that have already been done... it is not a perfect system because you and I don't get teams done just the way we would like, but at least we get graphics that are well done and very acceptable. I got many of my teams for the North Island and South Island Leagues from low and Lawn Loaf's threads. You can do the same thing. Last edited by Eugene Church; 12-30-2019 at 01:57 PM. |

CD, it is time for you to create a league that you have team logos, jerseys and caps that have already been done... then just play the league in whatever manner you desire to play it... you really need to just enjoy the game and stop wasting time on having someone create your dream world league graphics... it is not going to happen.
That's what I do... and I really enjoy my leagues... even though I could make them much better graphically if the great graphics guys would create the teams exactly like I design them... but it ain't gonna happen. Like me, you are going to have to be satisfied with less than the best when it comes to graphics. |

So how can I improve my reputation here, then? Surely there must be some way, Eugene. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but certainly they weren't life and death mistakes, for instance, I'm sure.
I have been staying out of other people's threads, and sticking to my own, as well, for quite some time, have I not? I know some may not forgive me for quite some time, if ever, due to the mistakes I've made before around here, but don't I deserve at least one more chance to do certain things right here, on these here forums, in terms of other people's threads, Eugene? Talk more later, I'm sure, if possible, and when possible, Lord willing. Take care and God bless and all, then. CD out.

Go to the Graphic Forum and post a simple request and see if anyone does it for you. If someone does it for you... just thank them... don't ask for any revisions unless they offer to revise it and make changes. If someone posts a negative comment about your post... just thank them, but don't reply. Don't give them a reason to get mad at you. Decide what you need... you mentioned needing a Poltragow home jersey recently.
Create a sample request here in your thread and let me see it before you post it. I will help you word it so you will keep the request simple and not complex. |
