Just a suggestion...you need to make sure you have good contrast between colors...this is just my preference...others may have different tastes...and that may be your preference:

(just ignore these if they are too nitpicky...which I have often been known go be)

the viking boat blends in too much with the black background.

the bulldog black/gray lettering blends in too much with the deep red background.

the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears font is too hard to read...but is is perfect otherwise.

Don't change them for me...this is not my thread...it is what Ford Prefect prefers. I offer these suggestions for your future considerations.

You have developed into a fine logo designer...both technically and creatively and you almost always select very good color combinations and fonts.

Keep up the fine work.
Tequilaworm - I agree with EC here - your logos are very good and I think with a bit better contrast on some of the lettering and images you really have them nailed. That, by the way, must be the trait of an emerging logo designer because EC said exactly the same thing about some of my first logos as well. And looking back at them, I would agree with him completely.

Some hints that I've used to make my work a little better - high contrast especially on lettering is very good. You have a good theme in the circle logos, and I think you can do so much with the circle logo to make it look really fantastic. Sometimes I toy around with making the circle thicker, allowing me more space for a larger size font. Don't be afraid to use all the field you can to make the size of your logo (and thus readability in the game) as big as possible. You do great work and you do it quickly, which is always something the requestor appreciates.

Any of the comments I offer are just hints that I personally have found work for me so take them at face value. Keep up the nice work!

It might be best just to comment on my own requests and mind my own business.

The bottom line is whether the person who requested it is pleased...Ford Prefect is overjoyed...and rightly so...he has gotten an excellent set of logos in just a few days...and it don't get any better than that.
EC - from my perspective I appreciate hearing your thoughts on any of my work even if the logos are for someone else. You see a lot of logos and can really provide some good insight. I have never seen any post you have made that I would take offense to and I would encourage you to comment anytime you feel led to on my logos.

Thanks Cardinal Rule I really appreciate the feedback/suggestions that people give. I enjoy reading what people have to offer or say, as it can only make me better at doing the logos. Sometimes a logo looks good to me, but then looking at it through the thoughts of others, makes me realize where improvement may be needed.

EC, I also agree with Cardinal Rule....your comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. As he said, you have seen tonnes of logos and know what people are usually looking for. So keep the comments/suggestions coming

Thanks for your kind words, Cardinal Rule and Tequilaworm.

As long as it doesn't offend or hurt anyone's feelings, I will give my thoughts on logos.

Tequilaworm, I can only give my personal opinion, impressions and preference for logos...I can't speak for anyone else...I haven't done too well picking the favorite logos...as they say: one man's treasure is another man's trash...and beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

You and CR just keep doing what you are doing...pleasing a lot of us with fine logos.

Excellent logos, Tequilaworm....fine colors, design, figures and fonts.

Roswell is great...really like the bats...like the Double R's in the Rough Riders...Spudders is really fine.

Agree with FP...the Wolverines need to have better contrast between its background and the figure...maybe make the background white for the wolverine figure...with the smaller two circles the dark blue that you used for the background...keep the same blue background that you used for the lettering...just make the lettering white.

This gives FP a choice.

I think your lighter blue background is better than my white background suggestion.

Yea, I wasn't sure on the white background, as it kind of clashes with his claws. I decided to try a lighter blue to make the Wolverine stand out better, as suggested and it turned out ok.

Thanks for the compliments on the Roughriders... I decided to use the Green/black/white as it really looks good with the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the CFL (for anyone who doesn't know...that's the Canadian Football League )

FP...I am going to try and get the rest done while at work this evening.
