Johnny - can you run the program and it crashes only when going into a game? I think I heard of this before but I can't remember what to do about it - I'll see if I can find the answer for you.

Another question - did you download the 1.08 patch and install it?

That might be part of the problem... I can't find the 1.08 patch. I know that there was a problem with the game in the past with reading 0-byte files in the playbooks and not knowing what to do with them, but I (am pretty sure I) deleted and replaced all those.

IIRC there is something else you have to do if you have the "All-American Sports" version, but I'm not sure what.

Here is a link to the best FBPro message board out there, lots of useful information there. As far as BBPro, check out Cat's site, just about the only BBPro site I can find these days.

I would love to be able to play the FPS football series again but I thought that it could not be run on Windows XP, if anyone on here could AOL IM me at bostonwr and let me know how to get it to work I would be thrilled! thanks!

Fbpro works on XP. There are currently 3 H2H league's and most use XP. I don't even need to touch compatability mode.

I will, and most if not all coaches in these 3 league's will continue to play Fbpro because of it's H2H feature. No one is going to switch over to a sim league because of pretty graphics. When Fbpro98 was released there were a ton of gamers and league's. This has slowed down since they scrapped the series. There is a huge fanbase out there for any company wanting to take advantage of it. But as far as Max Football, and TPF, I and many others I know can find no real reason to buy these games. After you've played H2H football, you refuse to devolve.

Oh and.,......forget the code guys. It was wishful thinking but it's not gonna happen. Forget what you read on any boards, at this time, no one is handing out the code to Fbpro.

Marc, I don't have AOL IM. If you want to play Fbpro we can chat about it in KALI. You'll need that to play Fbpro since Sierra has done away with SIGS/WON awile back. i'll give you a few links that show you how to set that up. There is an Fbpro room under game lobbies in KALI. There is also a Monday night football room.
