And you know regular season determines who'd get to the playoffs? And once you are in, the playoff game itself isn't as important? If Utah must tank in one game, it's better the BCS game than a regular season game.

So one regular season game actually worth more than one playoff game for Utah.

USC, OU, UT basically played one team each that could beat them so they hardly worried about it. Utah yes but lets be honest we all know the BCS wasnt created for any team to be involved except the ACC, SEC, Big 12, Big 10, PAC 10, Big East

I know lots of Big 12, Big 10, Pac 10, Big East, ACC, SEC schools would be willing to change one lose into a win now, even if that guaranteed them a lose at Bowl, because that would mean more money. So playoff games in college football is indeed not all that important.

On the other hand, would you be willing to trade a playoff win for a regular season win in NCAA basketball? No one would ever do that.

I agree with the first part of this statement, but Illinois has proven the 2nd part to be false. I am beginning to believe they may have a legitimate shot at going undefeated in the regular season. There are only about 3 games in the Big Ten that worry me at this point (at Wisconsin, at Michigan St. and at Iowa). Any loss in a game other than those would be a shock to me. Man am I enjoying this season!
