It's better to do this after you "Proceed to Next Season" because the averaged stat records (BA and ERA) aren't set until the game goes to next year.

thanks

i think there a bug. i erase the rookie batting avg. record after i proceed next season and than i play a season and proceed next season and the rookie batting average record shows up at 0 still....

My rookie BA record is from Year 2 of my league... so my guess is that no rookie qualified with 502 (or whatever it is) plate appearances. There aren't a lot of openings on the major league rosters in Year 2, since few guys retire after just one season.

i saw rookies that got over 585 abs in 2nd year...but when i proceed to third season, the batting average shows 0% for rookie record still..they got rookie record for hits, rbi, hr....but nothing show up on batting average for rookies

it seems like when u clear it, it wont record no rookie batting average record anymore after..

*shrug* Worked for me...

I do remember noticing that, after Year 1, my batting champ was not the rookie BA leader (when you would think that everybody in the league is a rookie), so maybe OOTP has an age limit for rookies, or maybe it actually implements the rookie requirements accurately, including service time (Less than: 130 AB, 50 IP and 45 days on MLB roster).

yea im glad theres no blown saves in OotP too
There are blown saves, you just have to look for them under the individual players card....However, I believe there is also an option in the 2nd or 3rd pitcher stats screen...

It doesn't list them in the boxscores, but it keeps track of them....

Workaround

To get the rookie records to show up after deleting them, what you need to do is leave everything in place on the record books except the actual stat that set the record. In other words, what you want is to have Joe Schmoe still assigned to the record from your initial season, but with an apparent batting average of .000 - you should edit the record and enter this value. This will allow for it to be replaced the next time a qualifying rookie hits over .000 for a season.

thanks Dan...good information..seems like batting avg for rookie is only needed to do what you said above.....the rest of the rookie record works

also like someone said if you want to clear the rookie record , do it after u proceed to next season.

wish i knew that before i did it...already sim 8 years of history......now i have no rookie record showing up for rookie bating avg.
