Has any of the games simulated, or is it stuck before simming on that one day? If it's stuck at the beginning of the day, sim each game one by one until you find the game that it gets stuck on. Check those two teams ineups and rotations to make sure everything is in place. If they ware, and it's still not helping, try deleting the problem game, and add it to a later day during the season when both teams are off.

My game crashes before i even sim a game. I was in control of one team in manager mode and i went to go make some trades. Ill pick a player to trade for and ill get the illegal operation message. I have deleted and reinstalled the file numerous times. Still have the same problems each time...

I can get the CBL rosters to work just fine, but the game crashes on me everytime I play a game with them.
I went back and started over with the rosters that came with the game and no crashes after 3 games. Coincidence? |

I dont know, unfortunately i think i am going to wait for a bug free version of MLB rosters come out. If these are just going to cause hassle i can wait.

Yeah me either, knowing they are pretty acurate to the teams with just different names bugs the hell out of me.

guys....
The roster set works fine for me, so I have no idea why its not for some of you ![]() If you are SIMMING an entire season, PLEASE make sure to change all teams to CPU first; otherwise you will crash (all are set to human as default). I've simmed several seasons, played out games, everything and still no crashes. Wish I was more help, but not sure at this time why its not working for some

I've had no troubles with it either, and I did a LOT of testing with it.

This is my first version of OOTP and I would like to use all the additional "Add-ins".
I have downloaded CBL 2.0, Draft Dodger's Face Pack, MLB logos, and 2004 MVP Stadium Pack. I haven't the slightest how to use them. HELP! (I know how to open OOTP sub-folders and what-not, but when I try to insert them into the folders, things just boot up with the fake players and fake logos

I made a few changes to the pitching rotation since Steve Kline and Julian Tavarez are the real setup men, but other than that I didn't do anything. I'm one of the guys that does not sim, instead I play through every game managing every move. I have not been able to finish a game yet as I get an illegal operation and must close the game every time I try. I've tried disabling direct 3d, disabling sound and I still crash every game. So I thought to try the rosters that came with the game and I have had no problems for 3 straight games. I have no other recourse but to believe that it is the rosters that are causing the crashes. I hate it, because I can't play this game with fake names. Hopefully someone will figure something out. |

(typed a long reply that got killed by the ****ing CGI limits. here's another attempt).
let's pretend your path to OOTP6 is C:\OOTP6 your roster set goes inside a folder inside that main folder. the roster set will be a folder with a name (any name) that ends in ".lg". you can rename the roster set by changing this folder name to anything you want (just make sure it ends in ".lg"). the path to your roster set folder is going to look something like C:\OOTP6\cblv2.lg the photos go inside the "photos" folder in the roster set. so, C:\OOTP6\cblv2.lg\photos. if you are using my set, the zip path is already set up - just extract the whole thing to the league folder and you should be good to go. logos also have a subfolder in the league folder. C:\OOTP6\cblv2.lg\logos. the logos need to be in bmp format. stadium photos normally go into the graphics folder in the main directory - C:\OOTP6\graphics. again, these need to be in bmp format. if there is a "parkconfig.dat" file with the stadium set, that actually goes in to the league folder (it overwrites an existing file, so it might be a good idea to create a copy of that original file first). the zip file of CBL's V2 rosters has a bit of a glitch in it - the zip will extract to the wrong place. you may need to go in, find the "whatever.lg" directory, and cut and paste that into the ootp6 main folder. (sorry, I'm at work - don't remember what CBL's lg directory is called by default)

Can someone help me...
I downloaded CBL's rosters. I put the folder enitled "CBLCardinals.lg" inside the OOTP6 folder where the rest of my leagues are. When I open that league, the teams appear, but when I click on each team, the game crashes. What should I do? |

check to see if there's another ".lg" folder inside that one. if so, cut and paste it into the OOTP6 folder.

Little more details...
This is my first time downloading his rosters and having the game so I'm not so sure. I unzipped the download and created a file call "CBLCardinals.lg". I put the file in an OTTP6 folder, the one which has the game, a readme file, the game config, and the leagues I've have made so far. Inside the CBLCardinals folder is some .dat files, and five folders. When I open up the CBLCardinals league, all the teams appear. But after I click on the team, the game crashes... Any suggestions? |

that sounds right. other than re-downloading, deleting that folder, and extracting again, I'm not sure what I'd suggest...

I've just finished installing the CBL Rosters. And I have had no problems through the end of April. Although yes, it did take me a while to set things up. For those of you who are having trouble, this post WILL be a bit long. But I'll take you through step by step of what I did, and see if you happened to have forgotten or left out a step along the way.
1) Download obviously the CBL Rosters. You want to put the subfolder, into the OOTP6 directory. NOT the first folder you see, double click on the first folder, and you'll see a second one. Put that one in the directory. 2) Download whatever stadiums and facepacks you wish to use. I personally don't bother with facepacks, so I won't go into it here. But when you download the stadiums, you MUST MUST MUST have a program that will change the .jpg files into .bmp files. If you do NOT do this before you try to load the game, you will crash your game. Put the stadiums in the OOTP6 Graphics folder. Put the three league stadium files (park, parkconfig, weather) into your *.lg file. 3) Logos. Put them into the logo folder in your league directory. That's pretty easy. 4) Open up OOTP6. Go to League Setup, and Edit Ballparks. Make sure all the .bmp's are there. If you're importing a league or stadiums from OOTP5, make sure you use the option to regenerate the coordinates for OOTP6, on the lower right of the screen. 5) Set all the teams to CPU control. Then pick your team, go to team setup and then of course pick human control. 6) YOU MUST RUN COMPUTER MANAGER ON ALL TEAMS. MUST MUST MUST MUST!!!!! If you don't, you will have open spots in pitching rotations, open spots in depth charts, and that WILL crash the game. 7)You should be just about done. Touch up your own team, get yourself ready for the season. And then go go go. Any questions I'll do my best to answer them here in this thread. However like DraftDodger, I haven't had any problems with the rosters. PS: On a side note. In this roster set, the coaches and scouts are turned off. If you like playing with them, manually turn them on in league setup. |

I had the same problem last night, I just deleted the rosters, re downloaded them and everything worked great, don't know if I was doing something wrong, but they work now.
DD or anyone else for that matter, one quick question if you check this again, whats the easiest way to convert jpeg to bmp? |

I also have not had any problems thus far., except for not being able to figure out how to get the stadiums to work, so it is just a black screen right now. (I'll figure it out a little later, though)
Thanks for teh great rosets! I am having a ton of fun playting out the game with the Twins.
