Do we know yet if someone tries to release a player if it will crash the export?

Also, if they leave the setting the same will it crash the export anyways even if they don't try to release anyone?

From what I'm seeing so far, the PbP changes are very obvious, because the way it used to be, most lines (besides the first) started off in lowercase; ex:

The 3 and 2 pitch to Bream...
fastball...
swung on...
a little flyball to right-center...
RF Gilkey looks up...
he makes the catch.

Now, the new lines that were added seem to start off capitalized, or at least several of the ones I'm seeing; ex:

The 3 and 2 pitch to Bream...
fastball...
Cut on...
a little flyball to right-center...
RF Gilkey looks up...
he makes the catch.

I'm not sure, but I'm assuming this is something that would have been tested thoroughly in beta.

A hint for you in public relations, Markus (like you need one).

Anytime you put out a free patch that enhances functionality and fixes bugs in a product 6 months afer release that gets a new makeover annually, you go along way to please your ravenous fanboys than slapping on new bells and whistles. It shows you want us to be satisfied with your product more than you want to keep pumping your sales figures. I appreciate that fresh approach and you can see many other do to. Thanks for staying true, you have a customer here until you don't want my money anymore.

Markus,

For the hell of it I attempted to demote an injured player (4 week injury) from the majors to AAA. The player accepted the demotion and the transaction went through. Any ideas?

Just tried again to make sure and it happened again w/ a player who had a (1-2 week) injury.

I believe the tweak makes it so that you can't move a player from the DL to the minors if he would have normally refused such an assignment.

And the addition of the option to never ask again to import real rookies. NICE for a fictional league that started in 1901.

Regarding the release player feature ...

The toggle is in the Online League Setup and it is password protected in online league mode and it is defaulted to yes.

If the setting remains at Yes, teams can release their own players, and then export without fail.

I have tested it and it works exactly as Markus said it should (as if there were any doubt).

Can be a very useful feature for some leagues. Thanks yet again for all the hard work, Markus.

Thanks Sporr.

Don't believe you can demote a player outright to the minors if they are injured in the MLB. Am I mistaken? In not, maybe Markus could work that logic into version 6.

My biggest gripe - pickoffs are still WAY too frequent when managing your own games.

I see literally at least one every game, and that's even with guys rated A/B or A/A for stealing who haven't been told to steal!

They'll walk or single, I'll click 'Swing away,' and boom, picked off.

I realize it happens, but 150+ pickoffs per season seems obscenely high to me.

I play out 90-95% of my games and don't even come close to seeing this happen this frequently. Maybe one every 5 to 7 games is about what I see. Not doubting your word just not sure it is an across the board issue.
