Vladdy going to the Nets, I believe we've seen Jerseypride in a few other threads talk about how some bigname player will be going to a New York area team. So in the Sheep World, I saw Vladdy migrating across sports even to go to the New York area.

The hating Joe Torre and New York Yankees posts were just about the sudden firestorm over whether or not it is proper to hate the Yankees and associated personnel. Now I don't know about you, but just looking at Torre I get the sense he's the kinda guy who would bump a bunch of old threads back to the top of a message board. And we all know how hated those sorts of spammer are. Also, I could point you to conclusive studies that have found, along with bells ringing and angels getting their wings, that bumping an old thread kills a kitten.

At least in Sheep World it does. Along with the importance of teams being socially responsible and promoting an image that strengthens the moral fiber of this great nation. Babe Ruth should not be a hero; he was overweight and in today's consumeristic society, would probably weigh close to 400 pounds. Is this a man we want held in high esteem by our impressionable youth? I say no, and the Yankees, if they were of any true character, would sever all ties of history to the Babe.
