The Jays are much less concerned with a 6-5 loss in 18 innings to the Angels than they are concerned with the effect of an 18 inning game on the players. Two relievers left the game with ailments. We are told Justin Wilson will be fine, but there is more concern about Jackson Rees. WP - Trevor May (3-0) LP - Anthony Banda (1-2) Spring Record - 19-8

Enoli Paredes and Jayden Sharpe are called up from the minor league camp to be available out of the bullpen for the final game of the Spring.

Rafael Devers went 3 for 4 with a home run as the Jays beat the Yankees, 9-2, to wrap up their Spring schedule. Jayden Sharpe came up to help out a tired bullpen and proceeded to retire all nine batters he faced. He wasn't in the roster picture, but now, he just might be. Bo Bichette and Giancarlo Stanton both homered for Toronto. WP - Zach Davies (2-0) LP - Sean Doolittle (0-1) FINAL SPRING RECORD - 20-8 Best Spring record in MLB.

Mike Soroka kicked things off in style, allowing only one run in seven innings against the Rays. The Jays were opening their season in Tampa, and they romped to an 11-5 win. Rafael Devers, Giancarlo Stanton, Bo Bichette, and Max Kepler all homered for Toronto. Tim Locastro reached safely in all five of his plate appearances, but after his 9th inning double, he left the game and went straight to the trainer's room. WP - Mike Soroka (1-0) LP - Luis Patino (0-1) Record - 1-0

The Blue Jays remain undefeated as Zach Davies pitched them to a 6-3 win over the Rays. J.P. Crawford homered for Toronto. Giancarlo Stanton left the game in the 1st after hitting a double. We believe it was an issue with. his knee. WP - Zach Davies (1-0) Save - Raidel Martinez (2) LP - Brendon McCay (0-1) Record - 4-0

The irresistible force met the immovable object as two undefeated teams faced off. Austin meadows went 3 for 5, including a two run home run in the 9th that gave the Jays back the lead they had lost in the 7th, and the Blue Jays beat the Astros, 7-5. There are now three undefeated teams, Toronto and both Chicago clubs. WP - Jacob Nix (2-0) Save - Eduard Bazardo (2) LP - Edwin Diaz (0-1) Record - 5-0

Players of the Week: Kyle Tucker, Astros & Luis Campusano, Padres
The Jays are 3rd in the Weekly Power Rankings (that were updated before today's games), with them behind only Boston and Houston. I have a feeling they would be #1 right now.

Rafael Devers has started slow this season, but today he went 3 for 4 with a home run. Unfortunately the Yankees were able to walk off the normally unflappable Raidel Martinez in the 10th, to beat the Jays, 4-3. WP - Hector Rondon (1-0) LP - Raidel Martinez (0-1) Record - 6-2
