Is it possible that the next patch will address the issue of the Hall of Fame essentially being a year out of date?

If you start a 2025 season, the election should have already taken place, and the results ought to be locked in.

But as it stands, starting a 2025 season, Ichiro and CC Sabathia are not showing up until the 2026 elections, Wagner most likely drops off the ballot.

If we players wait until July 27 (when the induction ceremony actually takes place) before beginning a live start would that have them showing as enshrined?

What exactly is expected to be corrected in the next patch? I've read about issues with player development and ageing, which is why I've postponed starting my long-term save.

It's been almost one month since patch 26.2.50 was released. I reckon that I can wait another week or two if it's going to be worth it.

But an update would be appreciated.

I've been wondering about this myself. 'New' team but usually we've had a few patches by now. I'm hoping for fixes to reliever contracts and the waiver wire among other optimizations.

I believe Matt was/is on a much-deserved vacation. We'll probably see more activity once he's back.

I just checked I posted about it a month ago tomorrow. I hope they fix it at some point (player aging/player development )

I have no problem with a well-deserved vacation (*if* that is the case).

FYI: I pre-purchased OOTP26 on March 9th.

There are numerous posts on this forum indicating that there are significant problems with the game. Those problems are holding me off from starting a new long-term save. I understand that every new version of the game brings with it potential unforeseen problems and challenges for the developers. I'm not complaining about that.

However, when such problems become apparent WITHIN THE FIRST TWO MONTHS of releasing the game, I expect the Chief Operating Officer to work OVERTIME to rectify these issues, and not take a "much deserved vacation", as per a "Hall of Fame poster".

And if that claim about a much deserved vacation is incorrect...Matt: I would love to hear from you.

I have spent countless hours enjoying this exceptional game during the past few years. And compared to services such as Netflix or Spotify (et al), and an honest cost to hours ratio, I would be willing to pay much, much more for OOTP.

IF (!!!) - if the problems that are repeatedly addressed here and elsewhere are addressed - OR - if it's explained to me why those issues CANNOT be fixed.

I understand that OOTP consists of a relatively small team, which is doing the best they can (and which is better than anyone else in the world has been able to do during the past quarter century of baseball simulation games!!!).

Thank you!!!

But there is still room for improvement. If I had the funds, I would spend the money to ensure that OOTP (thank you Markus and Andreas!) becomes the Football Manager of baseball. If it doesn't, I will return to FM.

From what I've read, this isn't the first time OOTP has hit the market with major bugs still to be ironed out. As a former business owner, I find that to be shameful!

It seems the developers are spending several months post-release fixing the latest game, instead of spending their time working on new features and upgrades for the subsequent version.

Maybe a release every year is unrealistic? Not sure how the OOTP team did it in years gone by, when they apparently added significant new features annually. Did they have a larger staff in the past? What has changed?
The MOST POPULAR football/soccer game in the world made the following decision:

"Due to a variety of challenges that we’ve been open about to date, and many more unforeseen, we currently haven’t achieved what we set out to do in enough areas of the game, despite the phenomenal efforts of our team. Each decision to delay the release was made with the aim of getting the game closer to the desired level but, as we approached critical milestones at the turn of the year, it became unmistakably clear that we would not achieve the standard required, even with the adjusted timeline.

We could have pressed on, released FM25 in its current state, and fixed things down the line - but that’s not the right thing to do. We were also unwilling to go beyond a March release as it would be too late in the football season to expect players to then buy another game later in the year.

Through the cancellation, every effort is now focused on ensuring that our next release achieves our goal and hits the quality level we all expect. We will update you on how we are progressing with that as soon as we are able to do so.

I agree with some things you are saying here. The trend seems across the board right now with a lot of things. Pay more, get less, and if that's a problem take your lumps. I regards to Football Manager though, I think they are cooked. I don't think you can release a yearly game for decades and then skip a year and expect it to go well. They may recover a portion of their playerbase but the damage is done. The situation here and there though do have me concerned for games of this genre though, their popularity seems to be waning as their player bases age and text-based simulation style game seems to be going the way of the Dodo. I was 23 when I created the account in 2001. I'm almost 50 now.

I get what you are saying but watching a new up date for Perfect Team show up every week while problems people have brought up since launch is it worrisome. The silence is not helping.

For those waiting to start or move their game like myself and others on this thread (and others) so far it's been pay more get nothing since we don't want to ruin our league by moving to newer version.

There is some seriously league breaking stuff going on and it's been noted since launch. I don't do beta but would be shocked it wouldn't have been caught pre launch but on this could be wrong.

I completely agree with you. I'm also waiting to start my saves and haven't really played much at all this year. There are just too many issues for a long-term save. This is easily the longest we've waited for a second patch in recent years. Since launch, we've only gotten one patch in nearly two months. Kind of ironic that this is the first year the price has gone up—pay more, get less.

As for Perfect Team, I agree there too. It seems like that's where all the attention is going. But even then, the attention to detail just isn't there, and neither is my money. I made the decision years ago to step away when they essentially ditched online leagues for PT and announced you'd need to re-buy your PT "cards" every year. Nope, not for me. I'm glad I went in that direction, especially since that first round of PT items no longer exists.

If you do not see an update for the game posted in these forums, then there is nothing being updated for PT as PT updates COME with base game updates. Anything that goes on with cards is a totally different side of the game and DOES NOT require a code update.

You really think spamming the forums is going to get the result you desire? probably not, but it might get the attention of the mods, and that's probably not the kind of attention you want.

We'll have the next patch out soon. Just had a few lingering issues that we needed to get resolved before releasing. Sorry for the delays.

Thanks Matt.
Your fans of the game appreciate the update. I was a pre order, but have been waiting to transfer my 25 season/play every game league from 25 to 26 until more issues are resolved.
